I haven't "heard" that, from anybody, but then I haven't asked either. What I do know is that they were expecting 12 teams and drafted up a format to suit, and received 14 entries. So there are some changes afoot, but not sure about the number of cars on track in each given race.

But I hope it's true The format (Maximum 4 Cars) hasn't changed on their Website, and I guess if Teams entered knowing that was the format to be used, they would maybe have some input if it is to be changed. Personally I prefer the 4 Car option with 2 reserves, so you have less chance of teams struggling to field a team later in the Championship

Ask Paul Hickey what he thinks about trying to commentate those confusing numbers especially the R's!! I hope sense will prevail and normal racing numbers will resume!

Ask Paul Hickey what he thinks about trying to commentate those confusing numbers especially the R's!! I hope sense will prevail and normal racing numbers will resume! I think all of us on microphone duty put up with them to begin with, but it's just got worse and worse over time, especially with other teams jumping on the bandwagon and several tracks now having second teams (or development squads) as well, and some of those using them too. The worst I've seen was on Auckland's second team, sorry, their name escapes me, but it was not good. I'm assuming, as no notices have been sent out to the best of my knowledge, that the status quo will prevail. The only way common sense will win over is if there's a break down in the ELS and somebody loses a major event based on an error in the manual backup. Now I don't wish ill on any team, HOWEVER.......... Barry B

oh come on racing in team colours and numbers can be a teams secret weapon you win at all costs and this is one small way of getting an advantage sorry but I hope teams numbers stand and speedway nz lets each club to decide what they put out on track.

With the greatest of respect, RUBBISH. Team colours 110% yes. I don't even mind sequential numbers for a team if not their normal numbers. 5353535353, 3535353535 and the like should be banned with immediate effect, if not sooner!! You say let each club decide? It's not them that have to put up with the consequneces of their decisions....... Barry B
