Binned it into the wall.
Heat 3 blue group - 26t, 24w, 88w, 1nz, 12m, 27c. Harding's car came real good in the last couple of laps, I think he passed 5 or so cars in the last two laps up round the outside. Osborne was also running the outside line and tagged the wall twice. Harding and Osbourne tied for points top of group I think.

Halcrow was looking good to at least tie for 6th spot and earn a run off too. Repercharge will be good. Is there 1 or 2 reps?

Terry Corrin had a big tumble all by himself in turn 3 and then late on 27m, 891c, 12n, 21h and 71c big pileup on front straight.
Aparrently a run off needed but not sure on which group as we were leaving.

Have to feel for 21w, going great in race 1 making up massive positions to then be involved in tangle which resulted in him hitting the wall in turn 1, which 88m was deemed to be at fault for and lost his points for that race. Then to only not qualify by 2 points, which was a pretty good effort considering he also had no front brake calipers in heat 2. 26t also had bad luck, only just not qualifying after having a dnf in race 2 due to a flat tyre with 2 laps left. Although the track was pretty slick down low, there was some great racing with what looked like a good outside lane out wide with countless laps being 2 or even 3 wide in the turns.

Great nights racing and plenty of drama as you'd expect at a super saloon national title.
Couple of small gripes. Firstly how hard is it to get a white board on the track to show positions after a caution, would have speed things up so we didn't have and after midnight finish. Also the over zealous security guards that wouldn't let the crew check their cars after an incident. I can understand keeping general public away from the fence but when the drivers just need a thumbs up or down on their car is it really to big of an issue to let them have a quick look?
Like I said all on all a good start looking forward to tomorrow night.

Yea I thought exactly the same even though Gregory and I don't get on he was in this case smashed out .Good to see the offender loose points as well same as the B K series etc .

Was a shame about Don Gregory, he was doing really well in that first race before he got caught up in some over-zealous 3-wide going into turn one. Hope he can make it through the repecharge.
Drivers/cars that looked very on-form to me and consistently managing to do a lot of passing were: 1nz Mark Osbourne 2nz Ian Burson 3nz Steve Flynn 6b Grant Flynn 9w Mark Pitcher 24a Ben Harding 88W Brian Comerford
Going to be very hard to pick a top 3 out of those, and there were a lot of other cars that were quick at points throughout the night too, just not quite as consistently fast.

The infield staff kept having to wait for the lapscorers to tell them the restart order.
