I also enjoyed listening to them aswell. Todd Moffat races 10w saloon, he used to run a super quite a few years back with some good results. He is a great driver not scared of running right at the wall. Todd often calls the super saloon races when they race at wellington which is great as he adds a good amount of knowledge and as per the weekend, heaps of passion. The presentation of his cars is always top notch. check out his facebook page- Moffat motorsport.

I liked that they called people who ran the low line "poofters" I'm surprised that the PC brigade didn't have a sook though

Todd & Grant are great to work with, I had worked with both seperatly in the past but this was the first time together, and along with Malcolm Sines, who is a true pro, we believed we had most of the bases covered for this meeting. Altho I love watching Super Saloons I would never profess to be any great expert on them, where as Mal & Todd most deffo are.
As Mintie said in his excellent post after the NZ Superstock champs, once again the commentary team meet early on fri and discussed our roles, altho this time it was commplicated slightly with Todd racing as well on night two.
Unfortanatly for this meeting I didn't think the commentary flowed as well as the results wern't as forthcoming as they were for the Superstocks, mostly due to protests and other things well beyond our or the clubs control, consequently there were bigger delays between races and as I always say the program really did become a living document. On the finals night it was complicated further with one of the placegetters having transmitter issues which also caused a delay between unoffical and offical results. But all said and done I think the boys in the box handled it very well. I can't do what Mintie did after the Superstocks and tell you how many KM's I covered on the weekend but given the eventb went about an extra 4 hrs over the time taken to run the Superstocks I reckon it was somewhere between blimmin' heaps and a shedload (you may need to google for the exact conversions into KM's).
The last two meetings at Te Marua, and working with those that I have, has taught me (and I'm sure James) plenty. We will use that knowledge for our week in week out meetings. James & I always try and keep the banter and humour in the commentry and that won't change (not that it always works, there is nothing worse than getting half way thru saying something and thinking uh oh, maybe I shouldn't be saying this lol). As someone who plays a minor part in it, I am heartened to read this & the Superstock champs feedback.

I personally was not happy at all with what they had to say, singling out some drivers and saying some really rude comments, being family to one of those drivers it wasn't nice at all to hear, the commentators didn't know the full story and what the infield staff were actually telling the drivers. I just thought some of the comments they had to say we're totally unexcepable, they weren't the guys out there driving after all

I personally did not hear anything too offensive but I may have missed something.

I do realise that but some of the South island guys don't know them from a bar of soap so they wouldn't know that they are like and I know for a fact that some of those comments were not banter, everyone is aloud there own opinion though I just thought I would share mine

I didn't have a problem with Mintie, there is a certain person I was not happy with, but of course I won't name names. He said some very rude things about my dad which made my dad sound like a total dickhead and that's not okay. It's an amazing thing to be able to watch the streming for the people that couldnt be there, it's just some of the comments let it down
