A good performance tonight from our commentator friend.
I ticked off the following:
- Lets take a look at the Super Screen
- Wink wink nudge nudge
- Whaaaaamo
- The pendulum (which was doing a lot of swinging in the first few races)
- Tail Gunner
- Driver gets called the wrong name - whose Peter Benson?
- Man of the Moment
- Turbo Turf
- Verbal adding up of points (several hits)
- Non-response from David Popplewell (David, David!!)
I also thought I heard a Goneburger but the other people watching with me could not confirm so I didn't tick that one off. Hopefully we'll get a few more ticked off tomorrow night.

McKenzie was goneburger. One mention of Big Bad Charlie set him off to talk about 50 years of speedway and to go and see Grunta and Linda in the track shack. So you can add those two. No Hey Baby was played.  No Mexican Wave made it round the track. Malcolm Symes did a good job. Felt like the V8 supercar pit reporter dude. |

Agreed; Mal Symes' commentaries, especially from the pits, were a breath of fresh air. My only gripe was that a couple of times the commentators referred to replays or video they might have thought the crowd was seeing when the big screen wasn't actually showing that at all  |

Hoping the wave would die out before the interview. Thankfully they had another interview lined up straight away, so there was no time to talk about the wave until after Shane's lap, by which point it was too late. |
