Honestly though with all the b/s around palmy at the moment who would want to be a superstock driver with a p on your car when other drivers are happy to take a dig at you in public over a minor difference in opinions What do you mean? I'm not sure the thoughts or actions of those involved prior to Teams Champs constituted a "minor difference in opinions"...or did they?

Isn't it amazing how so many people can't remember events of 12 months ago. Remember all the race stoppages and cars taken off who had infringed before the impacted on the result. People hated it and complained and now we are whinging the other way around. Don't think the problem is with miers or the referee to be honest.
As to Scott's speech? The really badly worded explanation is not even close. May have been a slight dig at Pete or may just have been a reference to the guys doing so well without him, potentially would have been the same speech with him there. Best teams racers out here? Yes because the ones referred to are not currently teams racers.
As a question going back in time. Was it 6 or 7 they were inducting to the hall of fame when it was first mentioned?

I think it's probably time for you to get some new material too muncho. You basically come on here once a year, spruik the Panthers and slag off the non-Panther fans. Every year you go on about people bemoaning the rigged draw, but you may not have noticed how much that has died down in recent years, and was non-existent in 2015. Agreed, the Panthers AND the Warriors were BOTH awesome. Re multiple responses in a thread; there IS no limit. However, saying the same thing over and over again is somewhat frowned upon. If a poster has nothing new to say, we do politely ask they say nothing. Barry B Because every year the same s@#t comes up Barry B. Geez you need to read other threads on here before commenting as their have been more then 1 or 2 comments posted regarding the panthers rigging the draw prior to this years draw being announced. FYI I only come on here now and again as most of the good reads tend to get cut off at the knees by over zealous moderators who seem to think they know best..........

Hope this helps The Manawatu Speedway Club is setting up a "Teams Champs Hall of Fame" 6 inductees will be selected and inducted into the Hall of Fame Others will be selected in the future We will be presenting those chosen with a special plaque on the second night of teams champs this season What we would like you to help us with is tell us who you think the 6 inductees should be and why Please make sure you tell us your reason why. The very experienced teams racers know there is a lot less chance being pinged crossing the pole lime entering turn 3 to what there is entering Turn 1...... Barry B Interesting statement Mr B! The very experienced teams racers should also know where the pole line is too! And unless they are colour blind should quite easily recognise when they are on grass as opposed to dirt! I know in the heat of the moment you can often make an error of judgement, but the frequency of errors of some of these guys (note I'm not picking on one driver) you van see why people jump on the it's rigged or palmy rules bandwagon! A question for the knowledgable; has there always been no option to protest in teams?

Every Year there is an incident involving Miers Snr. Leave the rest to you. It begins with Ch... Absolute garbage and offensive too. I have just watched the final again with total focus on 8p. There was no attack off the grass. Watch again with both eyes. There was an indiscretion when he moved early after a red light stoppage but 1/ he checked up to restore the balance. 2/ it wasn't a game changer 3/ Removal from the race would have been unjustly harsh. If I was the ref I would have reminded him about waiting for the green light and/or a small fine. To put my post in perspective I'm one who watches every year to see one of my favorite teams beat the Panthers , Wanganui are one of my favorite teams. If you can't beat them on the track you're sure as heck not going to beat them with a keyboard. Making yourself appear small minded and one eyed is certainly within your ability though.

A question for the knowledgable; has there always been no option to protest in teams? Not knowledgeable enough as I can't recall when the Teams Racing "Code of Ethics" came in, but I imagine that's when the no-protest rule was first introduced. But no, it hasn't always been the case. Barry B

Macgor I believe the grass mowing incident was against baypark not the final! Watched again too , take a look. Such claims are absolute fantasy. Each time he was on the grass he was out of control as a result of contact on the track. To be straight up about it Scott Miers had his best most effective teams meeting in quite a while.(my opinion)

I personally believe Scott miers is the best super stock block man in the world, and his son is following in his footsteps. They would have to be the most feared teams stock car drivers in the world with the mighty panthers team. Their hospitality and sportsmanship is second to none. I would like to vote them in for the first father and son team to be voted into the hall of famers. Please before anyone knocks this please rewatch the passed 5 years of them racing. Thankyou Scotty and team.

Amen Brutebrown.. All pretty much top class ,and to lose a couple of their strongmen [ Penn and rees ] and still come out on top shows the strength within the ranks ..Gary Parkes must also take a lot of credit in the manner he introduces these new drivers to the team .

The anti P bs gets boring. The Panthers won it because they were the best on the night, wanted it the most, and had a bit of luck. It doesn't matter what the draw is, someone will always say it's rigged. If they win, they will always be accused of cheating. People always blame Miers, irrespective of him only being one of five out there. At the end of the day, Palmy does a lot for speedway. It puts on a premiere event, caters for all, helps every team, lends drivers to other teams so they can field a team. Why can't some of you turkeys just enjoy the spectacle without second guessing every action that happens on or off the track? The refs have a hell of a job making judgement calls on occurrences that happen in a split second, and they do this with the knowledge that all the keyboand warriors will be critiquing them. If you look beyond the keyboard warriors, purociqlism and once a year spectators, you will find that at competitor level, there is a huge amount of friendship and respect between the teams, and they are the best to judge. Don't ruin the spectacle, enjoy it.
