Now the dust has settled from Palmerston, time to think about the next big one for Superstocks!
According to the program from Waikaraka last night:
Confirmed: Auckland Allstars, Palmerston Panthers, Rotorua Rebels, Nelson Tigers and Manwatu Mustangs.
Awaiting confirmation from: Bay Park, Hawkes Bay, Stratford, Wellington, Wanganui and Christchurch.
So that's 11 Teams. Gisborne for 12th?
In terms of the team line ups, could be some quite different line ups from Palmy ie Rotorua obviously down Steiny and Lala.
And Auckland could have some significant changes, (and/or last minute preparation) from the Palmy Team.
Gavin Taniwha: out for season for family reasons. Scott Tennant. Engine damage. The Nissan at engine rebuilders now to be pulled down. Brad Ridland. Engine damage. Believe the Chev may be terminal after a oil system failure. Bryce Marx. Engine, steering and other damage. Carl Hodge. Believe driver and car ok.

I suspect there won't be many locals at the Auckland Superstock champs this weekend if that's the casualty ward. Just hope the lads can get their cars sorted in time for the teams. Good to see the Tigers making the trip again. To get 12 teams would be nice but based on recent years I doubt we'll see that. If I recall there was only 7 teams last year but what a show!! Understand it's a huge commitment both time and moneywise to participate in this type of meeting. Bring it on...

Dont think Baypark going anyone, and see today Karl Ross out for Season with car damage. Dont think Wanganui going due to Work commitment and costs.

We finally had a good field of 13 local mods already to run! Typical I suppose but can't be helped. Mods will be back at Wacky on March 7th for their Akl mod champs. This is finals night of the teams nationals. Foxy going for Akl champs title number 9.

With Stratford having loads of superstocks it is surprising that they haven't put a team forward as well.

I think the BP Brawlers appearance at PN was likely to be a one-off. I think Dave Tarrant has retired? Mike Mac back with HB. I'd say 119m will be renumbered as 119r for the Rebels? Karl Ross reportedly injured. Mind you, Kerry's car was seen in Pollock orange on Saturday night......
