The calendar also says that Friday will be superstocks and stockcars, while the programme according to Codi says superstocks, saloons and ministocks (which the website no longer acknowledge as a class at Waikaraka). Nothing personal, but the only reliable information on that website is the address of the track.

Ministocks have been told to jam up tight when parking as the pits will be full. 26 or so Ministocks and 12 - 15 saloons still leaves more room in the pits than 30 superstocks need, so at a guess, there may be one more class added.
Historic stock cars usually get a showing at teams, not sure if that would be Friday or saturday though.

I think they should run six shooters as another support class on the Friday night. With only 6 normal races plus 5 teams races and a seal clubbing on the card so far that would at least make the night feel much much longer.

Will be there only for the 6 teams races and maybe the saloons if they get a good field (10-15 +) , do not care what the other class's are running Have driven 1.5 hours to Waikaraka for 2-3 support races watched the one off teams race and then gone home. Must admit am disappointed that only 6 teams are making an appearance. Maybe I was spoilt by the stockcar teams at Rotorua (14)

Charging $30 per adult and $70 for a family pass is a bit rich for a meeting that can only produce 6 teams ...

it would seem a bit greedy to ask $30 for the fri night program as seeing its a bit light on support classes. sat night prob the much better of the 2 nights where a lot will turn up if there was a discount for a 2 night ticket that may bring more in.

You are already getting at least 2 discounts - discounted number of teams, discounted number of support races. And gees, now you want to pay less as well? Some people are just totally unreasonable!!!!!!

People flock to a meeting when there is ONE teams race, so 6 Teams doing 2 rounds is a pretty good night in my book! Not up to Palmy standard, but still be one hell of a show! Can't wait.

actually, i don't flock to a meeting with one teams race, these days i look at the info available and select the meetings i wish to attend, in this case i have decided not to go on friday as that looks light to me, and i can't be bothered battling the auckland traffic. Also surprised that with 6 teams that they did not run as a massive one night show. Still i am certain that it will be excellent.

They can't run as a one night show, it doesn't give the teams enough time to fix the cars between races. As we have seen many many times teams struggle to get 4 cars out for the third or fourth teams race of the night, they'd be stuffed if they had to do 6 or 7.
As for Friday looking thin (6 races + 6 teams races) Saturday isn't a lot better, support classes are stockcars and the Mods so unless there are two grids of Mods it's another 12 race night and one of those will be the superstock consolation which experience tells us will not be huge.
Regardless of what I think of the prices / value / potential carnage (or not) / way the club treats the people it wants money from I can tell you now I'll be there both nights (weather permitting, and it looks dodgy ...) as much to support the club as anything else, running this sort of meeting isn't cheap.

I should hope so, a weather thread is a prerequisite for a big meeting

Auckland Allstars Carl Hodge Bryce Marx Scott Tennant Chev Taniwha Kerry Remnant This as told to me by an ex Allstar[/quote Gary Lonnergan was in the 10a superstock tonight at Huntly. Read anything into that?? Mike Mac was also there in the 84b, but in the 3rd heat he pulled off in a puff of smoke. Hope nothing too serious to sort before tomorrow. Also there was 5a, 84a and 48h.

I no answers to some of those questions, but wont say publicly, will leave it for tonight.lol Well I was working on my corvette last night, and from the other garage finally heard some noise from the 63a car, first time since PNS and it was sounding pretty rough. Dad seemed fairly confident it would be good for tonight. Also over heard a problem around the 29a car, but wasn't really listening properly as I had the radio on so will have to wait for tonight to see who and what cars show up. Go the Allstars!

From the Allstars Facebook page half an hour ago:
ITS RACE DAY TEAM!! We've had a bit of a change in camp. Due to bereavement Chev Taniwha is understandably no longer available. With this being said the team is now; Bruce Marx Scott Tennant ... Carl Hodge Kerry Remnant Gary Lonergan Head down to the pits and meet the boys. Hopefully the weather holds off and we'll see you all track side this afternoon.
