Unfortunately it is likely that there will be a change to the Tasman Thunder team due to an injury sustained at the weekend. Once the replacement is confirmed and the proper notifications made to Rotorua we will update the team list

I totally agree with this comment..BUT Sonja & Rotorua club dosnt, hense why you have to have a Full club membership & Club licience.. Would make clubs think if they only had 6-8 teams entered this event cause of this wouldn't it.
I can see both sides but people need to realize that if some clubs have 20-30 stockcars you only have a select few that want to teams race [unless you from Palmy lol]..
Just my opinion

Just my opinion Grizzlies only have 10-12 registered stockcars we have a full local team, it can be done infact a heap or fundraising and awesome sponsors the drivers have got a cheap weekend away.

Talking about ring-ins - gizzy have a few......lol. On paper, all the teams are stacked with talent - will watch with interest how the thunder and the grizzlies go.regardless of ring-ins we are in for a treat with lots of great teams.

i have no problem with ring ins at all either and if it means 12 teams thats great. the question i am asking is is the desire to teams race dryiing up in some areas ? once again is the cost to be competitive meaning the cost to repair cars is high so drivers wont enter ?

That sux bigc , This is what stuffs the sport. If people registered to a club and willing to travel , then ringins should not be allowed ...have heard that your club is really political , hence the reason one of your drivers registered to Rotorua for a couple of season..

it all comes down to money unlike the palmy teams the winner of this event takes the event back to their track and if crushers do win it I think there will still be ring-ins from the north island to keep this show in the glen for as long as they can to keep this revenue coming in

I reckon teams should have to prove to SNZ that they dont have enough track-contracted drivers willing to race before you can have ring-ins.

Chch has 40 odd cars, but ya be lucky if all of them finishes every race, week in, week out, good on chch for taking a top team up, better than having 2 fast cars and 4 slow ones if they had to pick local drivers.
