A suggestion for STM . place a tarp or anti-slip rug under the dish legs as steel on steel esp. when wet slips easy from vibrations. Also use larger sand filled bags to hold in place . Once the tech sets up the dish leave in place for nite 2. So there we go guys! The secret to getting cutting edge digital technology operating to optimal performance is bigger sandbags! Who knew! :-) were you there ? Obviously not , but you only want to moan . I tried to be helpful but as usual uniformed comments are still posted. From reading other posts you were at the Rotorua nite 2. Did you go near Jandl 1 ?. or even look at what was happening with the live screen eg dish location.?

If you have hit the nail on the head that the issues were due to the dish positioning moving, then you will have a lot of people thanking you! If you read my other posts you will see I fully support the effort STM is putting in to making it work.

Sky and freeview use a satellite above the Solomon Islands app. 38k km away I believe. Precisely setting up portable ground based sky/freeview dishes for campers etc. is quite an art , most fail due to the base not being securely weighted or pegged into ground or concrete pad. Some motorhome owners have even found internal movements will cause a temp. loss of signal for the roof mounted dish units..

So with that last sentence you think a refund is the right way to go? Wow beachboy, there's a surprise; you taking one point from a post and highlighting ONLY that. A refund is dependant on each situation, and I'd never pre-empt any person's particular decision to pursue that. My issue with your comment is you suggesting it should be advertised as possibly being of poor quality. If that was the case, $2 shops across the country, Jetstar, Waikato Draught and the Auckland Blues would all be in the firing line as well. So are you saying at $30 per night people should have known it would be pretty poor viewing Pennman? Auckland Blues would never have to advertise that they are poor.

"It should had been advertised that the quality would be quite poor if there was cloud cover " - this is a direct quote from one of your previous posts BB. YOU are the one who has said it should be advertised as 'quite poor' based on certain atmospheric conditions, which is something I thought to be a real CYA approach and showing little faith in the company concerned's ability to deliver a top notch product. That's like the Auckland Blues saying "quality of our rugby might be quite poor IF we take the field"....oh, wait... Um....or like a $2 Shop advertising with "the quality of our product could be quite poor if it's mass-manufactured with dirt cheap labour in a questionable manufacturing facility"....oh, again, no... Er...I know, like Beachboy advising other Macgor users "the quality of my thinking may be questioned if I decide to put a post on Macgor's"....yep, THAT'S it!

'rabble rabble rabble" You skipped the Question Penman Good morning kids. The Macgor's lesson for today is: Read before you reply"A refund is dependant on each situation, and I'd never pre-empt any person's particular decision to pursue that." posted by me two or three posts back in a direct response to said question. One of you naughty little whippersnappers hasn't been listening during lessons. BB, you need to write 100 times, "The quality of my thinking may be questioned if I decide to put a post on Macgor's", and I expect you to listen more closely in future. If you don't take note of what we're learning about, you'll never grow into a strong, disciplined Beachman. Now, run along....

My answer was clear enough. Media twisting it all around? Explain that Beachboy.
