I plan on emailing for a refund. This is not merchantable quality. If they try to use the escape clause in their disclaimer about no guarantees of quality I am quite happy to take them to the small claims court. Unacceptable!

I agree bookers57, after last night frustration I decided not to buy the stream tonight. By the looks of it I've made the correct choice. When you buy goods or services, they must be 'fit for use'. I didn't purchase a replay of the event the day after, I purchased a live screen of the event!

It is worse than last night by a country mile. It's a joke. A real shame as this form of publicity could have great impact for our sport. It's sad that it's so poor quality charged at market rates.

I guess I'll try the email approach to ask for a refund first but don't really like the chances of anything coming from it. Like you said gray40 they are selling a live stream of an event which I and others have paid to watch live as the event was happening. Although some have said that its not a Sky broadcast or the like so we can't expect much, for what we have paid we should expect something or if the said product is not acceptable should get a refund.

Is that the email to use?
On my way now
Also, I would like to say that I have never asked for refund on any other Live Stream Event, as things were always beyond their control. This one is different in total lack of quality over both nights. When using chat to ask about only receiving audio and no video their answer was to download Chrome.

I bothered to watch the screen inside the cab, inside the big screen truck for 4 odd races last night. This service never faulted so maybe this is outside NZ. STM has worked before elsewhere in what is a world market ,to an acceptable broadcast level, but no-one in NZ, can get a Skybox to work

Well you could look at it this way, $60.00 to see a whole mini-stock race!
Opps, spoke to soon

You guys are going to be left with very few options soon other than going there and watching it yourself. Rotorua is plagued with streaming troubles, speedbox got it right sometimes but other times not. If your not happy with it and ask for a refund thats fine but don't complain when there is no streaming service and you can't watch anything.
I want to make it very clear YOU ARE ALLOWED TO BE DISSAPOINTED, you paid for a service that didn't deliver, but being rude isn't going to fix the problem for anyone and if you piss of the broadcaster then they can just take their equipment elsewhere and you can miss out all together.

STM. has in the past done live streaming well .why has this failed to achieve expectations of the many who paid believing in his reputation even though speedbox let them down.?

Bullnuts ,aim at the sky for a signal. even tv1 or 3 can do it. the problem is with overseas owners want cheap input and speedbox offers Why STM wants to deal with this is an error I believe.

It's not even remotely close to "aim at the sky for a signal". If you don't have the dish pointing at the right point in the sky, all its going to so is collect rain water when its raining. Even a few milometers can make a big difference.

Maybe time for the Rotorua Stockcar club to get a modern internet/fibre connection so this need for satellite service will be gone for ever . Then maybe the STM . can do his job as he does elsewhere'

And I've even seen "rain fade" on Sky when there has been no rain. There are a bunch of atmospheric conditions that can affect the signal, not just clouds.
