Will the same rule apply at Rotorua ? Any team can now use a 3 minute bell each until a car is repaired and the gate then reopened?

If you take a look at the board for this meeting in one of the threads Barry Brown reported on his discussion with an SNZ official on a number of issues. In the instance you refer to there was one 3-minute bell with both cars completing their work within the singular 3-minute timeslot.

From Questions thread:
""I've just spoken to Rod McNaughton about this one, and yes, the Ref was doing the timing and the CoC was in charge of the track/pit gate. They knew the car was coming, so to save time, instead of waiting for it, they shut the gate, did the warm ups and re-opened the gate for 5w. With regards the 3 minutes, the 5w was still on the same 3 minute clock the Rotorua car was on when it had pulled up to the gate and left well within the alloted time. I knew they'd be a good answer........so you can cross that question off my list now!!

Different rules at Rotorua as it is a SNZ championship title. So the Palmy Promoters can create rule to suit ?. Yes rules can be changed by different tracks running there own events and can also be changed at SNZ events like is the case at Rotorua where there will only be 4 cars from each team on track where as the norm so far has been 5 for stockcar teams events. I have no problem with gates being opened late to allow a full team of cars on track. Let it go man

The same rules will apply at Rotorua ?. Guess it depends if time is needed to be saved to keep the meeting going as was the case at Palmy. What would you like the rule to be Lorry?

Let it go man R12-4-20 A teams race will be completed by 4 cars per team, with the exception of Stockcars that can run 5 cars (+ reserves). The example you provide is incorrect as there is provision in the Speedway New Zealand rulebook to run either 4 or 5 car Stockcar Teams. No local rule.

Stockcars were also only 4 cars per team until 2003 when Baypark hosted the NZ Stockcar teams title and ran 7 cars ((from memory). Welly won, thought the extra cars looked good and lifted the number to 5, which stuck.

Didn't say that it was a local rule Percy "and can also be changed at SNZ events" also only said the 5 cars per team was the norm not the rule. Mods not reading again!

Ya know what? This thread proves just one thing. When it comes to being a troll lorryathuntly wouldn't even make a little league team, where as beachboy is well and truly in the majors.
