Much talk around about live streams but this is one I can vouch for from experience. The Stream from Palmy a couple of weeks ago was excellent with regards the quality of image and sound. The stream ran the full meeting without any stoppages or stuttering. My connection here at home is one of the new fangled fibre jobs which is obviously an advantage over some of the old copper type connections although if your provider is up to the job and your computer and modem aren't too ancient all should be well for you too. Check your connection at speedtest.net and see what your setup is providing you with, preferably during the 7pm to 10pm time slot. Mine is screen shots

my ping is 44 download speed 6.16 and upload is 0.55 so I guess mine is nuts until I get fibre I wouldn't expect a great experience from that. There are better boffins than me on here but I suspect you have an old modem. I used to get a similar result with the modem that Vodafone gave me years ago , I lashed out and replaced it and straight away the download speed doubled.

[br Sorry since i have used google chrome Then I'm not sure why you are posting in this thread for. I still suspect you would have a better experience (higher quality image?) with a better download speed though but so long as you are happy then all is well.

[br Sorry since i have used google chrome I have no problems using their backup 'JWPlayer'. maybe a few resets but still acceptable. Maybe Video Hub could setup a download for 'JWPlayer' with the correct settings for best viewing in NZ.

Get the phone line looked at Could be stuffed cable pair ,or internal wring could be causing the slow connect rates ie splitter might need to put in at poe at house etc Get your provider to send fltman to check it out Starting with them testing at house point of entry And test connect rates 80% time will be cable pair or internal wring Broken down Post Office lineman still doing flts in Welly lol

Computer should be up to it , how old is your modem? 2 yrs if that Is your modem using cables to connect to computer or wireless.? Hopefully some tech. person will then advise some simple tests for posters to do and from that info, then reset some computer settings or cable/modem issues. I think this is an important as to stop the viewer from having simple probs fixed rather than using threads after the event. Having a helper on the night using tech talk is mostly useless to an already stressed out non computer person being asked. Even a list of simple changes or checks would be helpful.

FYI ...
If you are watching online streaming ... DOWNLOAD Speed is important
If you are UPLOADING then the upload speed is important.
Since the internet varies speeds, it is best to test your connecting 1 week before, on the day and time, you wish to watch an event.
If you wish to watch a full 1080p HD picture you will need 4 - 8 Meg depending on the compression used x 50% (allows for internet variances)
SO ... to be safe a 8-10 Meg DOWNLOAD speed is required.
THIS IS ASSUMING the UPLOAD Provider understands the internet and their requirement ... :-)

This should prove your computer is working within the settings .
