hawkes bay is common the bay. that was used for when our rugby team got promotion in 2006, so not very old song. was always wondering this. what came first the nelson tigers. or the eye of the tiger song. because the nelson tigers just doesnt have the same ring to it as any other team. warriors is let me hear you by ossy osbourne. and rebels, well its been so long since they won a race think even they dont know lol

Years ago they used to be the nelson knockers. Id imagine the tigers name was late 80's. I think the song came from one of the Rocky movies about '83 maybe?

In a late change by Gisborne - They have named ELO's Don't bring me down " Bruce" as their new theme song Don't think the lyrics quite make the grade.

I think you will find that was "theres something about a magpie" - which is a far better song anyway!

Something from "I Am Giant" would be cool for Gissy team. Thin LIzzy - the boys are back in town Dropkick Murphy's "The boys are back" Because they are looking for trouble.
