Palmy still had four cars start each race and were beaten both times, they tried to use an overweight car and the stewards let it slip by but the opposition have caught them out this time round, how often have they got away with it in the past one wonders?

The way they are weighed is complete b.s tho. Uneven surface uneven ramp and sensors too far from wheels, not to mention being lined up skew on the ramp. But isn't that exactly how the CVIU weigh heavy vehicles on our highways right across the country? If it's good enough for the law, it's got to be good enough for Teams Champs... cviu weigh stations are totally different..they are certified quite often and are on dead level ground

This is classic. The way I read the post "We used the light gear and took all the gas out and flew through scrutineering. Then we got our teams racing gear on but got surprised by the scales at the gate that caught us out. But our mate said it was sweet as ( perks of being a local and knowing the officials ?) and we've got away with it for the 20 years we have been running our tanks at this teams event, so we weren't too worried. But then the officials said we couldn't got out, and they only changed their minds because someone told the other teAm - wel, that's what they told us. This is so unfair, we always get away with this every year at our home track, why have the officials changed their process? All we want is consistency - to be allowed to keep running our heavy car at teams champs." all in jest of course. Go the bayyyyy. What was also funny was the way the commentators kept saying he was not allowed out due to red lights on the go pros. Or maybe it was because they had cameras pointing at the camera? Another no no that has been shown on you tube many times. Everyvyear there is controversy at teams, and great to see the panthers finally on the end of it. And as pointed out the final race certainly enforced what the real issues were.

If HB new 88P was close to the weight limit good on them for keeping an eye on it. Makes it a level playing field for all drivers, There is talk on macgors / social media that one scrutineer said car was ok to race, then another saying it wasn,t, so not allowed to take to the track, its just another area of the biggest meeting of the season that needs a tidy up

Although I have seen a couple of roadside weighs that may be, er, "open to query".

Over or under weight. M7-4-1. Mandatory 30 day stand down !! Did this happen ?? If correct, another baffling SNZ decision/ruling. If a car is over weight then there are penalties, as what were given for the "over weight" Gisborne car at the NZ Stockcar teams champs at Rotorua

The car never raced over weight, different story if he'd been weighed after the race

A car turns up at NZ Super StockCar Champs at Napier and found to have an engine seal missing . "Had not raced" but was not allowed to take part in meeting and received a penalty. It is the lack of clear decision making and interpretation by SNZ that annoys me.

M7-4 Specific Technical Offences M7-4-1 Over or under weight If a vehicle is found to be over or under weight after a race the competitor will be excluded by the Steward from the race and suspended for a further 30 days
