The stream was good second night with no problems. The commentary was only downside with no real link between trackside and upstairs box. Al was good trackside with more info on the second night than the first. Boy was he crying when Wellington did not make it to second night but perked up when protest put them thru. .

Well done Speedway live team, bloody awesome effort I agree, a thought ; one reason why some posters may have had trouble connecting after paying , could be if they paid via a different source eg cell phone . A suggestion; pay via the device you will be watching .

Just saying ... Some people choose to cross a busy road ... if they succeed they praise themselves, other wise if they get hit, it's the cars fault and abuse the driver. It doesn't matter how well sign posted the road was ! Have to say your attitude is a huge slap in the face to people who had issues authenticating with your server. As someone posted a screenshot of, your server was rejecting connections (see the post on the previous page). That is not a user side issue, it is your server. It doesn't matter how good your stream is, if your server does not let people authenticate they cannot see it. We have streamed many meetings from eventtech and have never had an issue with authentication, you should talk to them about their set-up to improve yours in the future. I believe it has something to do with your '2 minutes free' thing and that it places too much strain on the server when a large number of people are trying to authenticate. The stream itself was good, your authentication system is crap and needs to be changed.

Once i finally got connected stream was awsome and over the moon with it but both nights i missed atleast a hour trying to authenticate. As ive said before my internet speed is fast as so was def a supplier problem. Will prob give streaming 1 more try in the future and then make my decision on whether to go again. I think this could be a very successful business if someone wanted to set up a permanent professional service week in week out. Hell if it was a super easy and reliable service 40-50 even 60 bucks a nights stream would be acceptable. I no NZSTC said no guarantees with stream but when its a logging in problem i feel the user should be aloud to complain!!

I found on both nights there was no trouble with 'authentication'. For what they offered was up to a high standard. For their first time it was 100%. A very Happy Viewer here

Quite frankly I think it is very poor to say "buy it at your own risk and if it doesn't work, bad luck". You take the money, you provide the service - the consumer guarantees act states this is your obligation. Read through the post's again. It would appear to me that several users had no issue with the trial but mysteriously could not view once they had paid. I fail to see how this could be classed as their fault. It seems very easy for stream providers to blame the end users, connection speeds, isp's etc when the stream service they provide fails. As mentioned previously the stream out of Palmy is for the most part faultless - until they try a high profile meet like the teams champs. Suddenly users who have had no previous problems lose their reliability and it is their fault? It is the obligation of the party providing the service to ensure that they are set up and capable of providing that service, to say give me the money and I might give you the stream is absolute rodent droppings in my opinion. If you are after a toaster and go to a retailer, pay $20.00 for a new toaster and the sales person says to you "if it doesn't toast your bread bad luck", would you accept that?

OK ... most people wouldn't dignify a response to the constant negatives this forum tends to produce ... BUT we have fronted, been honest and tried to be informative all week.
We gave opportunity for people to test connections ... even allowing an extra 2 minutes FREE once the meeting had started, to show case the quality BEFORE any money was asked for.
We also well published that we were in NO POSITION to offer any support, many many times encouraged people NOT TO BUY if they had any doubts. Also run replays on the next day, once again FREE.
We used an International Stream Provider that has offices and servers throughout the USA and UK who provide for Global Clients.
We monitored a stream back via a separate internet network, BROUGHT the stream as you would have.
WHAT MORE COULD WE HAVE DONE ? Short of coming to your house and making sure your internet/computer was ok and your couch was comfy, I'm not to sure ...
We had less than 1000 people over both nights and early indications, have less than 1% having trouble.
This was never about making money as many people believe, BUT to provide coverage of an event MANY people couldn't attend. Any money that is made is getting reinvested back into SpeedwayLive, yet another FREE service. ADD in the clubs percentage SUBTRACT costs and you wonder why you even bother ...
BUT if it wasn't for people like us who are MAD speedway people, you sitting at home would have anything to complain about.
It's the rest of the Speedway Family that helps us keep the faith.

Actually I think that before anyone can purchase a live stream they should have to prove they have a teenager on call.

My family watched Friday night ok and after Palmy got rained out we watched Saturday as well ok, all good but as always room for improvement of course. My tech savy mate got through the payment steps to activate the view ok but if he hadn't come around I would've probably found it difficult. I thought the Pumas showed great courage and it was also good to see Peter Rees win with the Gladiators and with his boys in possibly his last Stockcar drive. Overall I thought 20 bucks was dirt cheap (chipped in $4 each at my house) and I'd be happy to pay more with better commentary. A good stream of a good meeting. PS: My tech savy mate got his cell phone to somehow mirror onto our big screen at home which was cool. upload images

We gave opportunity for people to test connections ... even allowing an extra 2 minutes FREE once the meeting had started, to show case the quality BEFORE any money was asked for. As i have said, the problem was not with the stream, it was with the authentication server. Letting people try the stream is all well and good, but if you then put a poorly functioning authentication system in front of it you cant say "we let you try it so its not our problem". I want to help you improve it for next year, I am trying to provide constructive feedback, and I did not process a charge back through paypal (we were less than 5 minutes away from doing so on finals night when it decided to work about 45 minutes after we paid at the start of racing). I recommend that you talk to the guys at videohub about their system, and also ask your stream provider why their server was rejecting connections.
