Interesting to see the seeded teams (if I remember them correctly) do not have the big gaps between their races like they do at the Superstock teams champs. Not saying its a bad thing, just interesting.

It's a weird one alright;
W/P/V all potential winners, neighbouring tracks and all in the same group.
R/S/B, basically neighbouring tracks again all drawn together.
Then C & N together - they must have slipped up here and ESS should have been in this group too!!
And yeah, last year's winner has drawn back to back group races. Maybe it's TOTALLY random to the extent of not even seeding last season's Top 4/ Or it's a spam email? Or it's somebody's idea of a joke?

Not saying its a bad thing, just interesting. So who exactly were the 4 teams, I know it was obviously Gisborne, Wellington & Christchurch, was Rotorua the 4th? If that's correct then 3 of the 4 are round 1 & 2 with Gisborne round 3 & 4 which doesn't make sense, would expect either all would do the same rounds or 2 would do round 1 & 2 with the other 2 doing round 3 & 4

Firstly thanks to nzstc for posting so much information about this meeting. I think you are doing a fantastic job for the club in building interest for this event. Great stuff!!
Secondly the draw looks like a classic Palmerston North draw, except they forgot to give the home team the 8 race gap - good for Stratford as they might need it.
Thirdly, think this is a super even event- a track new to lots of drivers, which will surprise many with gearing requirements due to the banking.
Going to be a fantastic event. Great to see the support for it with 12 teams going. I think the gisborne locals who turn up will be stunned - first at not being able to get a seat, then secondly at the non stop action.

NZSTC's comment re JUST RELEASING is classic as indicates it would raise a few eyebrows. There surely would have been questions asked within the club before releasing this draw. I agree with BarryB's comment about it being someone's idea of a joke.

I agree with BarryB's comment about it being someone's idea of a joke. Why is it a joke? Where in the rule book is there any mention at all regarding seeding? This is a NZ championship so seeding (definition - giving an advantage) of any team should not happen. Random draw for all teams is the way it should be. The only advantage any team should receive from previous years is the winner hosts.

Certainly is a joke the draw Not regarding who versing who But the time teams been given to repair cars between races It varies between 3 to 9 races So you think its ok for some teams to get 3 race gap Others 8 to 9 race gap It wouldnt be rocket science to space all the teams evenly

Heck, the Stockcar guys even have a bit more time with the Vintage races thrown in.

I think (stand to be corrected) the references to no seeding for championships have been removed from the rule book in there last couple of years.

More like the first race an easy walk in the park for the Young Guns Wildcat. Then they can just kick and relax till the Vulcans match-up. (No wishful thinking here, honest)
