This was just posted on there Facebook page
Man I feel for Auckland this the post they have just posted on Facebook
GUTTERED IS AN UNDER STATEMENT!! The team has worked so hard...and to be told at 2pm that we missed out by 5 points beause of an illegal car is complete crap.. Our team manger has been fighting this all arvo...SNZ told him to go away and to stop fighting as a decision had been made and NOTHING was going to change...The whole team feels very low right now...Huge thanks to the sponsors...the crews who, may I add have been since 7am this morning woeking on our cars..the supporters....we tried but.......Rissa
So dissapointed for these guys they really deserved to make it through

.cant be too upset with a 50 percent win loss ratio... Your kidding Right?? Night one is all about points. We had enough to get through. I would suggest you go and ask Gary Longeran, Mark McNabb, Shannon Savage, Keegan Orr, Paul Chatfield, Dan McDonald and Geoff Cook how upset they felt at 2pm Saturday.

So what was the issue Rissa ?/ A Palmy car was deemed to be illegal which changed the points. But this was all sorted Saturday. We left the track Friday night after the Top 8 were OFFICIAL and we had enough points to qualify. Yeah we lost a race but had enough points to get through. SNZ made a shambles of this one.

1 out of two better than 0 from 2 is it not and 0 from 2 qualify just a crap points system Which team qualified after winning 0 from 2? Rissa (or anyone else), can you advise at what stage during the weekend the protest was made regarding the car with the illegal Manifold?

The Alleycats sound like they were definitely shafted. How can you go home Friday night after being told you had qualified for night two only to be told later that no you haven't qualified? Someone needs to tell the paying public the reasons why and what happened.

Someone needs to tell the paying public the reasons why and what happened. The paying public know, a palmy car was caught with an illegal manifold, so got relegated in all thier races, which lowered thier points and increased some other teams, including the young guns, which gave them more points to qualify under the top 8 points scorers accross all groups format.

Someone needs to tell the paying public the reasons why and what happened. I had a txt late on Friday night saying that Rackhams car had been protested so the final spots shouldn't have been confirmed until the protest was resolved. It should all have been sorted Friday night so that people knew where they were come Saturday. Been very poorly handled, with Auckland being on the receiving end of some bad decision making.

I agree fully that it should have been taken care of on Friday night nor Saturday but the only thing that would have changed was Akl would have left on Friday night knowing they had not qualified, likewise Welly would have known they were thru, having won their group.

And Welington would not have been in town at 1.30am -2.00am Saturday morning .
