1v4 panthers v giants Or run off from panthers/ Gb for top points? No, it's A v D, B v C. Not according to the Promoter it's not.

So the Rebels sneak through? I thought it had Bay Park through as second team from group B?

Good on the Hawkeyes for lodging a protest and getting through. You have to question how a refree can make that many mistakes .. There are no protests in teams racing, remember.

You must remember this is the promoters big money event so its all about the panthers and mustangs, so anything robertson can do to make sure they are in the final he sure as hell will do it. hense why no penalty to the panthers This is one of the most amazing posts I have ever read. Amazingly stupid. I was gonna reply last night, but couldn't come up with the right words. It's just an incredulous comment to make. Go Slideways did a good job and attracted a number of likes. Not often would Macgor support a post where one moderator was telling another moderator to pull their head in, but in this case it was probably justified. I'm still shaking my head this morning....

Well i guess they were a bit quick in handing the race to the Mustangs then..

No way? It's a terrible outcome for mustangs, now they have no chance of winning the championship, where as the Hawkeyes still got a chance. Best the mustangs can get now is 3rd, that's if they win every race tommorow and win comfortably. My bad. Mis-read the program. Lol. Yeah, so that is a bummer for them then. It's a bit of a worry when you've been a Palmy fan forever, they've used the same format forever, and you still thought a team could not win the battle (their group) yet they could win the war (the overall contest) 🤣

Not according to the Promoter it's not. So even though the promoter phoned me and said it's 1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd, and corrected a story (I think it was on stuff?) apparently the programme says it's A vs D and B vs C. Obviously there's been a communication breakdown in The Watu. Hopefully it can be sorted for next year so everybody is on the same page.

Apart from the year there was 13 teams as it was not done in groups....?

Also would be good to have some official explanation to some incidents last night. Eg: Stratford GB result reversal Some exact points breakdown on some of the races. Mostly due to poor announcer communication and viewing results on the big screen.

"Mostly due to poor announcer communication and viewing results on the big screen." Agree. Thought they learnt from NZ champs, but no. The announcing of results and points was again poor. It's either the announcers or those who are supposed to feed them the info. Either way it's bloody frustrating that it continues to happen.

Some years obviously who meets who would work out exactly the same, either way, but what the promoter was working to and what has been in the programme has been different for some years now, so I found out this morning. I haven't attended for a few years now, so haven't seen the programmes. And obviously the promoter isn't doing things like checking the maths of other people during the meeting. I just hope they sort if for 2018 so what they're saying matches what they're printing. Barry B
