The old main grandstand at WP was a no smoking area so why I'm presuming the temporary grandstands would all be smoke free also. It's not hard to ask someone on the committee or ring Bruce, they are very approachable.

I gave my feed back to help. I'm not going back this year but I will check the policy prior to going back again. BUT they aren't going to change for one person it needs to be more people making it known that it's needed for ALL tracks

We were in the stands in front of the grandstand and he went towards the pits. So whatever security he found in that direction at the gate or before.

Wasn't attack was supposed to be helpful. Smoking is a hard one.for a club to do something about. As it's hard to catch. 1000s of people. Whow they suppose to watch them all. Hence why I brought up you. You have more of a chance stopping it. And I think you could make your point across in such a way that you would get the result. Smoking is seen as society unacceptable now days. Wolnt be hard or take much for him to apologize and then go ahead and move. Just watch how you word it. And you will get the result yourself. Always works for me. Just tring to be helpful that's all bro you don't need to be polite when asking someone not to smoke in a smoke free area, they are the one who's in the wrong and breaking the rules.

The tow truck crews didnt seem to gel. At ground level they cant see everything going on, maybe someone sitting with an overview and directing them in the right direction might help. Some sort of direct coms for them, might be a good idea for the NZs. Can the drivers channel be used for communicating to them, one way, as well ? i.e tow truck to turn four etc This! It doesn't matter how many tractors Scotty brings up from Palmy if the drivers show no urgency in getting cars off the track. Seriously the time it took to get the last Welly car off the track following the semi final was completely unacceptable. The green truck just sat on the infield doing nothing(wasn't it capable of lifting a stockcar?), then when the others finally returned from the pits they seemed to have no idea that they still had a car that needed to be removed. You would think after 50 years the track might have some idea how to do these things. As you point out direct comms to the towies - not exactly cutting edge stuff - would solve most of this. Cheers Lee

Thought I'd start a thread so those who went to the meeting can provide some feedback on what went well and what didn't go well. Please be constructive on any issues so the promotion can make improvements prior to the NZ Superstock Title. Instead of starting a thread like this, why dont you just stand up like a mouse behind your pseudonym and tell us all what WP have to do to be better at NZ time...what a tedious little person you are.

I never saw any signs, and if there were people just ignored them. On big nights like the Teams Nat's when you couldn't move to avoid an upwind chain smoker, it was freaking horrible sitting downwind. I'd be interested to know if anybody else remembers the old main stand being smoke free? Barry B

Barry B I used to smoke back then ,big fat cigars absolute premo ,if looks could kill i would be dead long ago ,even the late Janice Dresden Rip,used to come and sit beside you, not only to enjoy the smell but more so for the humour .. It takes a while to give up totally ,so people like Barry can enjoy pleasant surroundings ,till some one farts ... life at the park has seen many changes for good and for worse ,but you have to keep strong unity, lets hope it can survive ..
