Same team as last year isn't it? nope
2018 team
515GB Frankie Wainman Jnr 217GB Lee Fairhurst 207GB Ben Hurdman 152GB Neil Scothern 37GB Chris Cowley
2017 team
94GB john Dowson 166GB bobby griffen 207GB ben hurdman 217GB lee fairhurst 515GB Frankie wainman jnr
2016 team
37GB chris cowley 207gb ben hurdman 217GB lee fairhurst 338GB chris brocksopp 515GB Frankie wainman jnr
and 152GB neil scothern was in the 2015 team
so all 5 have raced teams at palmy b4 and I 4rt 37GB was good the last time he was here and its gr8 to see Frankie back after I 4rt he was ruled out so im thinking this GB team might be hard to beat

That means Frankie's injuries were less severe than they initially sounded I guess that Frankie will still drive the Hampton 66R Tri Rail then. Also see Roydon drove it on the first night of the Grand Prix and it was a no show on the 2nd night. Roydon was also a notable absentee last night in Auckland so wonder is there a serious problem with the car that they are trying to fix although at this stage (according to the website) Roydon it is still entered for the NZ's at Auckland in a fortnight, As far as cars go for the teams the Lions have used a heap of good cars previously such as the Barr car, Phil Ogles Car, Roydon's Car and the track Cars. I guess the question now I guess is -Will Frankie want to / be allowed to use the Tri Rail for the Palmy teams.

they have used 282s, 23s, track car, 66r, had a tank from somewhere, lintern car also.... leased cars get a bot for them so I'm sure there will be enough hands go up to offer cars again

No doubt they have the team now it's the car reliability for sure. Here is hoping they get the cars they have asked for.

When the Great Britain team comes here they have a Teams Race against an Auckland Team, Why cannot this be against a New Zealand Team. Select and name 6 Drivers who standout at this years Teams champs. Allow them the full year to get the recognition they deserve being a NZ rep and race against Great Britain next year. If I was to pick a New Zealand Super stock team now it would be: Peter Rees, Peter Bengsten, Kerry Remnant, Bryce Stiener, Wayne Hemi and Steve Jude

The issue would be some guys wouldn't want to risk a teams race a week out from teams champs.

There'd be at least 59 other drivers who'd deserve selection from the teams champs over Hemi, he's that good. Remember you'd also need to select Dare as they come as a 'package', or is that only a one way deal if Dares selected over Hemi, which he would be 99 times out of 100.

Remember them well having teams races at Rotorua and Stratford. Fast Forward 20+ years and my team would be Kerry Remnant - Nz most experienced Teams Racer Peter Bengston - Can run or block Peter Rees - Can read a race second to none Thomas Stanaway - Super quick and not frightened to mix it up Dion Mooney - A destructive racer Captain Peter Bengston Reserve car would probably be Stanaway Unlucky not to get selected, Jason Long, Dale Robertson, Bryce Steiner All these drivers are committed and put their cars on the line all for the entertainment of all of us.
