Palmy don't have the stockcar numbers they used to and they definitely don't have the number of top class stockcars they used to. I know it's a long way to travel but the biggest surprise to me is the number of Christchurch cars... Being 0.

Chch cars are not in the same league as the north thats why.
Numbers are dwindling too.

also surprised at low P entries, some comments do make sense in some ways but P is relevantly close to G than most tracks. No C entries, that seems odd and disappointing for the sport in general. yes budgets, time away etc all count to make it hard but to get better you have to race in large field. Just ask 19c Super Stock. 45+ NI stockcars attended the NZ Stockcars last time held at WG. The C Street stock team has made the trip to G track many times in the last few years for street stock teams
However Gisborne is still a long way from anywhere unfortunately. great track, love what they do. so great the number of entries
I love the banked track and how different the racing is because of this - turn right procedure so more different, deliberate and has to be so more committed .
either way, miss this at your peril

Its a fair comment, if you not afford to race or to travel and represent your club, then you shouldnt be racing. 50/50 raffle is a perfect example. And also saying yoy 'know' of one car, is that just gossip? Good on ya mate Greg H

There are plenty of guys and girls out there that simply love the sport and the thrill, they do it for themselves at what ever level they choose and can afford, plenty do not aspire to travel and yes, others may want to but do not have the resources to. For you to say that these people should leave the sport is utter rubbish. To all of those competitors out there who cant, or do not want to travel, I say thanks for keeping you clubs afloat because without you most clubs would disappear. Cheers, Marty.

Couple of odd names there, 31g and 128g. Haven't heard them on the track so far this year. May have out of town?
