Feel sorry for baypark, so close yet not quite, any other year 295 would be in tier one but not this format.
However they will be there and push hard, any team in 2nd tier still has chance to finish 3rd or 4th overall and seeding top 4 next year.

So there will need to be a B vs P run off? To decide who races GB and who races G?

A run off to see third and fourth for position seems dumb. Must be a better way. Palmy finished on track with 290 points but that changed. So the bay would get third on count back yes?

If I was hb I’d gift palmy 3rd, then let gissy and palmy destroy each other in 1 semi, and race the gb lions in the other. Be tough for all teams regardless what happens, but I’d love a p vs g first up with all cars fresh Run off start of night wouldn’t be ideal, could wreck some cars even before semis start 😂

1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3?? If so Nearly could put $$$ on P being 4th n then get to race GB. Won’t want to race G. Chucking it out there that GB had two very easy wins due to lack of performance from tigers and warriors, not because they necessarily raced that well themselves

It's happened before, two cars versus two cars. They can only base it on official points, not what the in-box commentator was giving us. I think sometimes he was reading things out before the ELS had locked off when the race was officially declared ended. Can make a lot of difference if 4th and 5th switch around between teams, one team goes up 10 points, the other drops 10 points (a 20 point swing), when things are as close as 2nd through 5th were tonight. Vallance made a huge difference. Had 3 tigers all tied up At one stage. Great blocking drive.

One approach to break the 3= tie I'd suggest is to let Great Britain (as #1 on points) select whether they want to race P or B.
Of course that isn't helpful in alternative scenarios where you end up with a 1= tie.

An unspoken rule will probably eventuate to put HB 3rd Am sure P will want to race UK and not G.

Do the run off and if any team wants 4th they can just pull off and not finish You’d think palmy would get 3rd as they have the best individual points result of 170 in race 1

Why we're lights thrown 2 orange so fast for Vallance yet Hb got 2mins after chequered flag.. The Officials gave HB every chance to get the 10pts required to get into the final 4. The Orange lights should have come on a long time before then Baypark would have been in the final 4, they deserved it with two hard fought wins, they must be gutted. Also the run-off should have happened tonight to give teams time to prepare for semi's tomorrow.

Any run off will only involve 2 of the 5 team cars.

I'm not sure what is written in their rules. Or if it's even written into their rules.I know the last time they staged a runoff it was the next day.
