Who would be your pick of the new zealand team based on this year? Mine:
3nz dare 41b long 88p miers.
Then two toss ups.
First 25M and 45G both not getting much seat time but two best block men I felt.
And 19M and 66b both lead there teams amazingly
6 driver mitch vickery. He had a breakthrough champs. But lacked good support around him.

Vallance block job in the tigers teams race??
The race where a gentlemen’s agreement was apparently made to go easy on each other...? Can’t confirm but could see it if it was true, some opportunities for the giants to elinate Nelson cars and instead eased up the inside..

hard to argue Hornets. would bring humphries in to the mix. blocked very well. yes he rolled against GB but had done them damage prior to that and took one of them with him. in the final blocked and then ran when he could see dare in trouble and would possibley have won it if long had to be held up taking dare out. Dare filling the Penn roll, Miers the blocker (where does he get that from ?) Humphries filling the rees/bengston roll of blocker/runner. Panthers potentially putting another dynasty together ?

No way keep long out now after he chose a diff team

So you’d replace OBrien who had a standout blocking role, Butcher and Groome put it all on the line in each race. I feel those guys gave up their spot this year and all need to earn it back next year through club and national events before you start placing them back in just because they’ve put their hand back up. Maybe you could organise the Hornets back into a teams race, even a 2nd HB team. drivers in HB all eager to teams? 9b, 22b, 29b, 41b 46b, 52b, 66b, 84b, 87b, 98b, 136b.. I’m sure with the right team/management behind there could be a host of others that’d put their name forward too. Start moulding more drivers through like PN, what makes the panthers so successful

And then what about 62s (or was it 52s) taking 7w into the wall ? (who was then unfortunately towed out to the ambulance crew.) Considering Stratford’s draw/ results put them against Rotorua, Panthers, Wellington,Hawke’s Bay it wasn’t exactly an easy run either! Stratford were very close to beating the Panthers too - were second and third. Always room for improvement but “lacked good support” seems a bit harsh!
