Confusing race finish? 165/35 expect it to be turned Gav was leading, put to the infeild, Bryce took the lead, flag given to Pete B for Mustangs, who should be a lap down. Commentators are baffled. Hearing the commentary seems to be a luxury. If you’re sitting between speakers like I am you cant hear anything - they are facing the ground! Are points awarded for cars that don’t pass chequered flag? Did 5 cars finish that race? No, a car must cross the finish line under its own steam to score points. A car that only does one lap, but is the 5th car across the line after the chequered flag can score points, but the race leader can complete 11 of 12 laps but score no points if eliminated on the final lap. That's why teams should never give up. I remember an epic battle between the Busters and the Scrappers at Palmy in 2003, where three or four different cars took the white flag but never completed that final lap to secure the victory. Time wise it was a very long race. Barry B

Is everyone loving the 6 teams two night event? This is my 9th year attending but I won’t be back. Time to move this joke somewhere else. The home track barely can field a team and when you get smashed in both races and still make the semi finals. Beats me. Yeah come at me haters with your excuses about the action bla bla

These types of comments really poss me off. Teams racing in Auckland is brutal. Very hard on gear, drivers and pockets. Yes palmy has the the atmosphere, but the Racing at Auckland is much harder. It can’t be moved anywher else. It will get back to its glory days once the track has concrete gutter plans from council. I also thought the 14 team Friday night format for palmy lead to very tame Racing. So what’s the answer.....just enjoy what the drivers and crew are entertaining you with.... Get well soon chev.

Auckland might as well trailer their cars now. No plan, no strategy and no chance of winning a race Well they got into the semis tonite so couldnt have been too bad. As they say Dont knock it until you have tried it . Oh thats right your name is Salooncar .lol Im pretty sure i wouldnt want to do it.

Yeah come at me haters with your excuses about the action bla bla I put it down to poor planning as its too close to other major events.Im not so sure pushing the event out further would attract many more teams either as some drivers start winding down their campaigns towards the end of the season. Crowd numbers were always going to be small . once the naming of a 6 team event was announced. No the event cant be shifted to another track , but a similar evant can be created by another track and if such an event did happen more central i think the Auckland Teams would die. Personally i think the name should be changed to Teams Invitation , as in recent years has proven anything but a National Event. Hats off to all drivers [ win or lose ] for putting cars and bodies on the line to support this meeting.

Very sad to see some of the negotive comments this is the hardest form of speedway and the most dangerous. The worst of all many offer no viable or positive solutions I’m a Rebels fan and no matter the results I’m still proud of how they preform why because I admire the dedication drivers put into providing such entertainment and that’s my team/track. We all have an opinion but I didn’t stop been an All Blacks fan when we were getting knocked out the World Cup I stay positive and still support just my thoughts.

I disagree with you drivers whinding down for the season. As they way more cars running at April. Thanks in November. Then again hawkes bay stacks it's huge superstock meetings at the end of the sEason. So I am bassing it on that. Jamie fox was right one day meeting. The current situation isn't working. So you gotta try something new. Hard luck story goes to Waikato. Who should be in the semis. If you wanto decent teams racing each other. Mustangs for the win. After a brutal race between panthers and gissy knocking out each other.

Giants panthers race probably won't be a destroy each other race with quite a few of them heading down south next week on the rees tour. Will be interesting to see who in the panthers sits the race out, 1nz, 58p or 581p.
