Go the Bay. The Rees all attacked the wrong car. No. They won’t attack one of their own. Just spoke to Pete. He referred to Jason as a good mate and deserved to win.

12am finish really?😡. Tracks run to many classes time and time again. Fast racing 3rd heat a non event apart from 31p getting dealt too.

It is totally unacceptable that in 2019 we are yet again having a discussion about substandard commentary, points updates and a sound system that is clearly from the dark ages and completely substandard. It's really simple - if you're going to host a NZ title (or any meeting for that matter) and you're happy to take people's hard earned money off them, the least you can do is provide the expected services. A PA with enough volume, commentators who understand and deliver what is expected at a championship. Info and updates and so. Eine adjusting the volume all night according to track action/sound level. This is why our sport never goes forward. The paying spectators are vary rarely treated with the disserved respect. Gimmicks like a helicopter drop in in are waste of time. Do the basics right first. Had zero idea last night of what was going on at our biggest championship. Its simply not good enough. This has been going on for 30 years or more! Sad,angry and dumbfounded. I was at Western Springs tonight, but my better half was at the Glen (having moved to Chch for her work). She's a relative newcomer to our sport and walked away disappointed for all the reasons you mention, plus feeling that there were too many classes running which stretched the evening too long. She's basically stated that she won't be back there again and will try Ruapuna for her motorsport fix down that way, or just attend meetings when she's back in Auckland.

Give it to baypark then, guaranteed to be finished by 10pm regardless how many heats have been raced. Only way to speed up meeting would be to move repecharges to last races Friday night, then 7pm Saturday do heat 1 of Nz title. Teams won’t like that. Another option is repecharges 530pm Saturday, and first heat for Nz title 7pm. But then I’m sure you people will pregnant dog about meeting starting too early 😂 i Thought meeting went good, 3rd heat wasn’t the crashfest like it was 10-15ywara ago however that’s superstocks nowadays. Still not sure what 1nz was doing changing to small wing for heat 3 and then flag racing. Same as 3nz.

Gotta give drivers time to fix cars, get prepared etc. It is a premium event so all teams want to be the best they can be No you don't. Those who survive undamaged or have a better crew to fix their car deserve to benefit from that. Let's assume a meeting will run from 7-11pm at the latest. That's 4 hours, and we can break that down into races. R1 7:00pm - Repêchage 1 starts. Finish 7:15pm worst case R2 7:20pm - Repêchage 2 starts. Finish 7:35pm worst case R3 Second tier event R4 Third tier event R5 Hot dog class, and can it if next race won't be starting on time. R6 8:00pm - Heat 1. Finish 8:20pm (and if not hotdogs below are gone) R8 Third tier event R9 Hot dog class, and can it if next race won't be starting on time. R10 9:00pm - Heat 2. Finish 9:20pm (and if not hotdogs below are gone) R11 Second tier event R12 Third tier event R13Hot dog class, and can it if next race won't be starting on time. R14 10:00pm - Heat 3. Finish 10:20pm (and if not 3rd tier below are gone) 10 mins for a protest to be decided - R15 2nd tier final in meantime. Call it at 15 mins if not completed. 10 mins for a runoff if needed, otherwise: 5 mins to get 3rd tier out R16 3rd tier final if time allows Result known 10:40pm

and speedway people moan when neighbours complain about track noise and long nights. That programme was never going to finish before 1130 at best. As a sport we are our own worst enemy

Congratulations to Jason Long Peter Rees & Simon Joblin. Was very evident that plenty of drivers respect these guys & left them alone to earn there Nz number. McCabe was dealt to by team Chch/Rees as payback for Kihikihi on Ngatai. Long is having a great season & Murray & Jason are Loyal customers of Rees.

As a sport we are our own worst enemy Sorry but this is not the case. What frustrated me was the round and round and round and round between getting out the gate and lining up on the grid. If they were semi organised between getting them out the gate and gridded might have been home at a more decent hour. Was the difference between a really good meeting and a great meeting for me. Kudos on the reserved seating area though, man my turn 4 seats were great!

Agree! Correct if I'm wrong but did the cars circulate prior to gridding so the lead car can give thumbs up when he thinks the track is ready to race on? If so why can't they just grid up straight away regardless of the track - it's the same for all!

I thought the same and even some drivers were getting annoyed last night and stopping in turn 4 while other cars still did another 5 or so laps. On the first night I thought it was a transponder check...but nope as every class did about 10 laps just cruising before each race.
Very average run meeting, i guess we get spoilt up in the north island.

Meetings like this one lean towards being about keeping the drivers happy. Anyone who goes to the Glen regularly knows its not like this on a regular night.

I wasn't there so only know what has been said on here. I don't travel for superstocks anymore because they are roundy roundy. Very fast roundy roundy in their defence. Sounds like there was a few attempts to influence results in heat three and that is good to see.
Shame that Andy McCabe didn't get the support he deserves from teams mates. With P cars not in the hunt trying to get him through.
Major plus for me is that P cars didn't fill half the finals field. In past years it has been more of a case of which P car will win! In my view a more evenly spread field adds to the event.
