There more to be added. I know of 1 34A Mark Wearing in the WB motorsport Tank.
That makes Mark & Tony Palmer the only remaining origanals (i beleive) from the A grade/Stockcar split and first NZ STD Stock (stockcar) champs.

didn't think you could if people entered on time. must accept. when was closing date. 2 cars will pull out. but they will be stopping further entries. if they can run 50 on track. why can't they run 50 for the groups.

Every track running an allocated title is required to have a back-up lap scoring system, most likely a manual system. Don't know if you've ever tried lap scoring before but trying to lap score 50 Stockcars in the same race is impossible to do accurately. There would be insufficient resource to deal with broken down cars and having so many cars on track is downright dangerous. As it is the limit for Stockcars is 30 and Baypark have been granted dispensation to run 36 per race.

The more cars on track the slower they go...safer and much more fun to watch..the way they should be

Need a 6th group? Even if no more enter you will still get 6 heats of 30, and room for more if more enter. Is entering after the close off date at the discretion of the promoter/club, or can they not turn entrants away for the NZ title?

I guess the curfew would come into affect there as each group gets 3 heats.

I am aware of the curfew. I live here, and have been burnt by the curfew many a time. With curfew in mind is why I was asking the question re can they refuse entries after close off in regards to SPNZ rules. Is close off date something the promotion can work with to stop entries or not. The difference between 15 races and 18 will be massive for a 10pm curfew.

Yes a promotion can stop taking entries after a close off date. Also with Stockcars, superstocks and streetstocks the rules on how you get to that final 26 or whatever other number has been approved by SNZ are fairly loose. Needs a tidy up in my opinion. Ie this meeting if there is a draw for qualifying it will be decided on a countback on heat 1 not a runoff as we are used to seeing.

Thanx Sonja. In relation to a draw in qualifying being sorted by heat one, you would want to have a front grid and make the most of it.

if a curfew is in place why not start earlier better still if a track cannot handle such a big event because of curfews noise restriction etc allocate to another that can
