Superstock racing can be a leveler at times! From a purely emotional and mental health side, a psychologist might like to consider counselling the 31 P driver on how to manage possible unbearable feelings of disappointment, unfairly treated, futility (it's all for nothing), ambushed, rejected (and unloved) and of missed out on something better! I don't know Andy M but listening to him interviewed over the years he sounds like a nice guy! Why would one contemplate the likelihood of any future success knowing that a bunch of young speedway stars might take me out anytime - or is utu over? Can I relax now that utu has been administered? How long does utu continue? Is the cycle broken? Actually I felt quite sorry for 31 P last night!

Maybe now that feud maybe over as they are all square. Some 10 years later. Remember he ended ngati championship in kihi kihi all those years ago. That's what tonight was about. The favour was retuned. Weather that's the end of it. Remains to be seen. He's a decent bloke. Who isn't on big budgets. But runs at pointy end of most fields. My dream is to see him run that b.

If memory serves , Andy M was just 1 of a number of P cars on the attack against the sth brigade, including our new 2nz how ironic that he picks up another podium and his old P mate gets the bash from his boys

Or does 31 P now continue the cycle and try to restore the balance?

It wont be over, Asher Rees never let's things go...Just like the years with 79p.
It's a pity that the other palmy cars didnt try and help McCabe out as he has been around for ages and never had one of those numbers on the door.
Gone are the days of big contact as sadly the cars are worth to much and mates mean more than club mates. It should have been a epic 3rd heat with the likes of 1nz, 3nz, 126c, 127g, 9c, 87b and 9b not up on points but nope.
Seems that stockcars again are the contact class of NZ.

Andy seems to help alot of P cars get titles when not in the hunt himself, but doesn't quite get the same level of support from them. Time to put a B back on the car Andy.

At a guess...when he rolled Ngatai at Kihikihi was it to help a Palmy car try win the title ? I know Higgins won it but was there a Palmy car up there going into heat 3 ? If so, where was his help ?

He may have got dealt to last night but perhaps he can take solace in the fact that by him being there Peter Rees wasn't going to risk passing him without a hit. Quite possible Pete could have finished one or two places higher had he not been delayed by 31P and therefore gaining an extra point or 2 that could have seen him as 1NZ. The attention 31P received may have backfired in some way.

I’m not too sure Rees was that upset to finish 2nd behind long who was also in a Rees car.
Still confused as to why no palmy guys who were way out of contention(1 2 3nz) didn’t at least try and make life tough for 41b and Rees. But like has been said, superstock racing has evolved the 3rd heat carnage of 10years ago has long gone.

It’s not so much about clubmates helping clubmates anymore. Drivers get around a lot more and with social media are a lot friendlier with drivers from other tracks than they use to be. Mates over clubmates.

Maybe the old rule of hit to pass would solve this matey stuff.
Punters want bumpers used, not friends racing each other..
Bit sad to hear of agreements for the title.
Thats bullnutse to be honest.

Imagine if all Nz titles from the last 20 years had 3rd heats similar to these days.... FWJ would have had multiple 1nzs by now, same as Rodney wood and tony Mac.
But thankfully for us older generation who attended those events we remember the huge welly vs Rotorua smashfests that used to erupt.
I want to dig out all my old vhs tapes and watch some of them now 😂😂

When you have father ,son ,brother verses brother racing going on this is the end result to some degree , other contracted racers, racing for other clubs for teams events, and it all changes , Mini Stock drivers non " contact " going straight into super Stocks its the perfect storm for nothing
