Since the addition of the lip prior to the 2016/17 season, cars in the contact grades are going up the wall reasonably regularly. I except that this will be a common occurance during the NZ Teams Champs. A couple of images I could find to show the lip. Hey JMAC thinks for the great photos it sounds like it’s going to be a cracker. The lip looks like a launching pad once the berm builds up which adds to the spectacular factor and takes some of that Ouch factor out I guess - which you’d know from those stockcar days! Can’t wait to see how it comes together. Any other classes apart from teams on night 1?

Yep once a bit of material moves out and settles against the wall it does make a nice ramp and certainly does add to the spectacle. Night one will feature teams racing only. Night two probably the same. Eight teams will progress to the finals and the remaining five will race in a 2nd tier teams event (No consolations) We have a meeting tomorrow night at which the format will be finalised.

What's this taking the undies off at night malaky? I take them off when I change them, which is every second Monday morning, no matter if they need changing or not.

It's the best way to do things when it's drawn races on night one with combined scores to send teams thru. Highest scoring team meets 8th highest and so on. I believe that's how Superstocks should also be done when there is no groups, but the 3 races in one night is a problem for Superstocks, but not for Stockcars

Saw the Wellington Wildcats team bus here in Tauranga this week. No doubt for the NZ Title I presume.

Just a heads up: We will be releasing all links to live stream for this event after this weekend. As we are in the process of changing our payment gateway system to something more easier and in New Zealand Dollars so we haven't released the links just yet. First night will cost $30 and the second night $35 for those that are interested. It would be a good time to go to our web site and read all terms and conditions as well. We almost have the blue arrow issues resolved with most models of LG now sorted. There's just a couple Samsung and a couple of other older Smart TV models to sort out. If you do get the blue arrow in the middle of your screen then there is an alternate set up you can use and can find the information here at FAQ page racing.org.nz/thepits/FAQ.htmlLet me know if you have any questions that i can help you with Cheers Jase

The weather forecast isn't looking good at this point 😞 Only if you look at New Plymouth on Metservice, the Stratford forecast on AccuWeather is good. Don't forget there is a small hill between the two places.

No what I meant was what other date would they run if the weather didn’t allow racing to happen? well there is a big cyclone sitting between new zealand and Australia now. with nobody able to predict where its going or what its going to do. that cyclone will determine what happens with the weather over the weekand. as for a back up day i dont know. but its something to pay very close attention to. because it has a hige say on this meeting this weekend.
