Any news on changes due to damage sustained the the NZ champs last weekend? Only change I have seen is 66a Hayden Hart out of the Alleycats and been replaced by Dave Moore.

A little confused, or possibly not up with the play? Kihikihi have out of town cars, and it looks like a K car, Cheetham is in the Huntly Team. Dave Moore, arguably one of Huntly's best isn't in the Huntly Team but is now in the Auckland Team. Its hard to believe that Auckland are so short of guys to Teams Race that they need a ring in. Shouldn't there be some way of ensuring that drivers race for their own Club before going to race for others?
Just an observation that seems a bit unusual

Dave has said this is last season in stockcars and he wants to finish racing with the Alleycats because they have become good mates over the years.I would say the hit Hayden Hart got at Baypark has put him out for a little while as well.

I dont want to be the negative one, but the weather forecasts are not looking good are they! Accuweather was looking ok, but now that even has heavy rain from 4pm Friday. Almost getting to the point where they may be best to can it and put a new date out to save people wasting money on travel.

For those attending the teams champs , there is also Americana on in the mighty Naki. Fri they are in Stratford late am until 12.15 when they will be departing for Hawera. Depart Hawera 5.15 for NP CBD for cruise and park up in closed roading area. Sat NP CBD 10----- 3.00pm. Think read that there is 876 entered this year so along with the Holden Museum [ Egmont RD ] there is plenty to fill in the none racing hours. Fingers crossed that the weather plays it's part and the big wet doesn't arrive till Sun at the earliest .

Weather updates? Is it worth coming? From Stratford Website Weather Update 22-02-2019 10:13am There is still a few showers around but we are confidant that we will be able to run tonight's meeting. This will be the last update for a while as we will all be busy at the track so if you don't hear or see anything, then the meeting is still on.

Unfortunately tonight’s meeting has had to be called off due to rain ☔️ If you are looking at something to do, head over and see the boys at Naki Nitro Karts, they will be more than happy to provide some entertainment 🚗 😎 It’s fun, it’s fast, you will have a blast 177 De Havilland Drive, New Plymouth 06 755 0384

Interesting to try and hold the meeting in one day with qualifying in the morning and finals in the evening....so many questions -. Will we see huge hits in qualifying or will competitors be thinking about the damage they need to sort in only a few hours for finals? -. How will the track hold up with that much racing on it? -. Will spectators be prepared to pay $50 for two nights when they only wanted to see finals racing (or qualifying only) - and what does it mean for livestream people that have already paid for one night? -. which teams will win the boat races in the only stratty pub tonight and fail concussion tests tomorrow due to evening antics instead of racing incidents

Source: www.stratford-speedway.co.nzHey team, here is the the plan for tomorrow: We will run both nights of the New Zealand Stockcar Teams Champs in one day. The format will run exactly as it was but will be split over the day. What was Friday night's meeting will start at 12pm tomorrow. Scrutineering at 9am. Gates open at 10am. Saturday nights format will start at 7pm as per originally. Admission prices: There have been some admission price adjustments: 10am to 3:30pm - the price for Adults will be $50 and family $110. Children are still $6 and Student/Pensioners still $10. This gives you admission to both the afternoon and night race meetings (nights one and two, qualifying and finals). From 3:30pm, the prices will revert back to normal - Adults $30, Family $70, Children $6 and Students/Pensioner $10.

It will be a gargantuan effort by the Stratford club to be able to prepare a racetrack by noon tomorrow due to the amount of rain that has fallen here. Good on them for their amazing dedication and desire to see this event take place. Go the Young Guns!!

Do the rules allow a car to leave the track and be repaired elsewhere (say a proper set up workshop) during an event?
And then, obviously, returned to continue the meeting?
Also how much of a car can you replace, I presume the chassis has to stay the same but can say a different engine be put in (during an event)?

You can replace entire driveline, firewall forward, firewall back, firewall, and roll cage but must be the same car.
