What a great team! Good to see Chad Ace racing for Oceanview again and Maddie Wise joining! It's also great to see 23v back in the teams seat and Shaun 53v at his first Teams Champs. You can't forget Dion Mooney though, I'm looking forward to this

Dead right Keith - Chad really enjoyed his stint with the Warriors last season, and a relationship with a number of Wanganui competitors has developed since he set up Ace Performance. An example of that was when he came to the aid of the 52V Superstock team on the afternoon they were due to leave for the NZ Superstocks in Christchurch, and found the car had blown a head gasket. Chad got stuck in with the team, the car was repaired, and they were able to leave Wanganui around 11pm and still catch their ferry. He was also involved in the rebuild of Max Holloway's 81V car after Karl Holloway's sudden death, and built the Nissan engine for Shaun Smith's 53V car. And an interesting sidelight to the Warriors - no one would argue that Bob Smith, the late George Duncan and Evan Mooney were three of the greatest Warriors ever. Next weekend, their sons Shaun, Scott and Dion will don the Warriors colours and go into battle. We reckon having three second-generation Warriors in the team is pretty special.

I hadn't thought about that. Any chance Brendan Lucas can find a spot in the team?

There are no 'food mashing' facilities on board the team bus, all of these guys selected were asked what sort of music they like & they all prefer Justin Bieber & Ariana Grande, they haven't even heard of Neil Diamond.... Too much of a divide sorry Rammers. BL

If he had a Superstock and was regularly competing, he'd have every chance. Then maybe we could get Aimee Barnes or one of the Flett boys out there, and have a whole team!

Anyone from Wanganui is welcome to come down, pick up a poster, get signatures and buy merchandise. Pre-ordered merchandise will also be available for collection tomorrow night, at scrutineering on Saturday afternoon, or at the track from 5pm Saturday. Loved seeing the Warriors at the Teams Champs even if they didn't get the best result. They have always been my favourite team no matter what.
I found this awesome moment from the 2014 teams champs where Bevan Humphrey took the win for the Warriors
