Never underestimate Ron Tye, he's no blow hard. He helped the Auckland All Stars beat both Great Britain and the Mustangs last year even though some dick uttered that they may as well leave their cars on the trailers. Ron has also won a race for the Panthers against the Hawkeyes this season. Looks like Auckland have as good a chance as any to me. You don't have to go a million miles an hour to win a teams race (KK v P), but yeah, an Auckland win would blow em all outa their seats. Go the underdogs. Gday, just to clarify, I did not call Ron tye a blow hard, I called him a "blow in". IE someone from outside brought in...Its an expression I picked up off the ex Mrs the "Irish witch" I don't care if teams have ring ins as id rather have a team with 3 ring ins than no team at all

ummm didn't Auckland allstars make the Auckland teams final last year Exactly , and were totally written off by everyone too. The criticism by Zitadel is a bit harsh in my books , as i take my hat off to anyone who chooses to teams race [ im sure i wouldnt want to ]. Put a pair of overalls on , jump in a car and line up against the likes of the Panthers , Hawkeyes , Giants and see how long you last before you head to the grass. Dont knock it til you have tried it. Big thing is , they are a team and they will be there. yeah I remember that night they made the finals..Akl drove well all meeting... however if im not mistaken, the other side of the draw saw a massive scrap with untold mayhem and damage in the previous round..with Akl facing the winner of that to secure a place in the final,..tell me if im wrong...I know you will.. I guess thats the beauty of teams meetings... Im an akl fan..but them making the final does not stand out in my memory as much as KK who came out of the gate one meeting, smoke pouring out of engines and looking like they would be lucky to get all 4 or 5 on the track...only then to turn round and give the Panthers a smashing..that was very memorable...just like the first lap dive bomb in the first race of the night another year..WOW...that takes gonads the size of boulders... yes folks I apolgise for sounding negative...

Please see I used the word Often for those who make words up as they read..like blow hard as opposed to Blow in...Often not always...cheers

Interesting that asher didn't choose to race for the G as they needed a driver. Unless 9c has committed to next year aswell.

Interesting that asher didn't choose to race for the G as they needed a driver. Unless 9c has committed to next year aswell. I’m sure they probably did ask but I’m sure the suck it up cars would all want to be on the same team and not racing each other. Had Gisborne 2 spots free then who knows. On a side note I see on insta that 9c almost has his car ready and it looks to be the car he’s been running this year so that’s good to see. Bring on Friday night 👍

Self built car but has been very quic this season. 41H Malcolm Read, past teams racer for the Waikato Raiders, very determined driver and has near perfect timing in block mode. Still relatively new to teams racing having only raced in the Raiders for two season. This weekend will be his very first Superstock Teams Racing experience, for someone who has only Teams raced for two seasons he is a very quick learner. He will be driving the Andrew Dreadon owned ex 57a/98H Eustace car....:as Reg’s has pointed out....the car that 7H Dave Moore drove at Palmy Teams.
