Ok team ...racing starts at 12pm for qualifying for the NZ Teams Champs ...they will qualify ... have a 3 hour break and race from 7pm tomorrow night ...

Wow. That's a big day of racing.
So will spectators nèed to exit after qualifying then pay to come back in?
I would guess not, so that's a big financial blow for the club.

With 3 teams from South Island already there this is the best option in terms of cost.
I think you’ll see a change of tactics for qualifying, just qualifying with minimal damage will be the perfect plan then let loose for finals later that day.
I’d say the 6th drivers will get a decent workout at some stage tommorow for most teams..

**Tomorrow's Plan***
Hey team, here is the the plan for tomorrow:
We will run both nights of the New Zealand Stockcar Teams Champs in one day.
The format will run exactly as it was but will be split over the day.
What was Friday night's meeting will start at 12pm tomorrow. Scrutineering at 9am. Gates open at 10am
Saturday nights format will start at 7pm as per originally.
Admission prices: There have been some admission price adjustments:
10am to 3:30pm - the price for Adults will be $50 and family $110. Children are still $6 and Student/Pensioners still $10. This gives you admission to both the afternoon and night race meetings (nights one and two, qualifying and finals).
From 3:30pm, the prices will revert back to normal - Adults $30, Family $70, Children $6 and Students/Pensioner $10.

That's going to be one massive day's racing. I agree that things will be tactical in the qualifying races, as points will determine who gets into the top eight for the evening portion of the meeting. There are going to be some very tired racers and crew by 10.30pm tomorrow night!

The alternative is to send them all home, then expect them to bear the cost of coming back at a later date to try again. I'm sure it will be a testing day for all concerned, but good on the club for trying a plan to get the event completed on schedule. |

The managers all had input into the decision and were happy with the break in the afternoon and same race night formats. With so many factors including Sunday's weather, the South Island teams and many more, an all day meeting really is the only option.

Good move due to the weather although 3 cars per team on track with 2 reserves would work better, otherwise can see the final being a 4 vrs 2 situation due to damage.

It will be a gargantuan effort by the Stratford club to be able to prepare a racetrack by noon tomorrow due to the amount of rain that has fallen here. Good on them for their amazing dedication and desire to see this event take place. Go the Young Guns!!

If it's the case that's another thing teams will have to consider in their game plan
