Last year I posted all sorts of stats regarding various teams and drivers. I have researched this event and have accumulated a fairly extensive collection of statistical data.
Rather than spamming the board with this information I'll take a different tack this year.
If anyone has specific information they want please ask in this thread and I'll see what I can do.

Which driver has raced the most races at this event and who has the most wins Peter Rees has the most race starts with 52 races. He has been on the winning side on 44 of those races to also be the winning est driver. His 84.6% win rate is phenomenal for a driver with such a large number of starts. Second on the list of most starts is Kerry Remnant with 48. Bryce Marx is 3rd at 40 race starts. All three will be competing at this years event.

I think the first time the silver bullet did the Auckland teams was 96 when all the AVD drama was happening.I don't think Dennis did the event with the Tigers,i don't remember the car being in Tiger colours.

Would Peter Rees be the only one to win this title with 3 different teams? Panthers, Giants and Wanderers?

Hey Percy,
Are you able to explain please the controversy surrounding the disqualification of Rebel's Mark Osborne vs Bay Park Busters not sure what year? He crossed line but on the grass or something. Thanks.

What year did the Silver Bullet make its first appearance at the Auckland teams event? Correct the 96 teams nationals. Had a Rover V8 in it then. the wellington team was numbered 1 2 3 4 5. not team numbers just had the 1,2 & 3nz cars, 4w was Brian Mcphee's actual number, & then Tony Mc 5w.

Hey Percy, Are you able to explain please the controversy surrounding the disqualification of Rebel's Mark Osborne vs Bay Park Busters not sure what year? He crossed line but on the grass or something. Thanks. 2003 it was. Barry "Buster" Brown might be the best person but yes Osborne was relegated out of the event win for a grass infringement. May have been over the finish line as he collected the chequered flag from memory but I'm happy to be corrected on that one by a more knowledgeable source.

Mark managed to get to the flag before being up-ended up Neville Stanaway - I dont think there was any issues with him crossing the finish line so the infringement must have come sometime during the race.

Not 100% sure but can recall it may have had to do with passing on the grass. Dont quote me on that .

This is a Gavin Evitt shot from the 1998 Teams Champs. First time I saw the Silver Bullet was I think as mentioned in the 1996 version of the Teams Nationals and I thought it was a really "space age looking" car and so impressive.

These from 1999 - Kerry Remnant still "here to jam" in 2019, incredible record.
