I'd like to congratulate everyone at Moore Park speedway on the changes they have made to the track shape.
The sidecar racing yesterday was excellent. It was great to see 20+ sidecars competing with three North Island visitors and all the usual suspects from Oreti.
I'm a solo man but the sidecars are offering far greater entertainment at the moment. There were only 8 solo riders at the meeting. Ben Whalley looks a prospect for the future if he keeps improving at the current rate. Looking forward to the U21 Championship later in the month.

I don't mean to sound negative but wouldn't 8 solos be a pretty good turnout? It's sad to think where the class is now, with all The history and success NZ has had.

Yes it is pretty disheartening. It is worse than it appears because of the 8 only three have any chance of improving.
On a brighter note young Ben Whalley has improved a lot and if he continues to improve he could be one for the future.
It is really good that Andrew Aldridge continues to compete to give the others a benchmark to exceed.
