All good. At the moment, we have four blocks of seats, 540 in total, on sale as premium reserved seating. These are located on top of the hill overlooking Turns 1 and 2. The bank itself and the terraced seats at the front are general admission. The premium reserved seats will have a fantastic view of the whole track (see the photo below), and importantly for that time of year will have the setting sun behind them. From the other photo below, you can see the layout in terms of which block of seats is where. We have an option to install extra seats on the top of the hill along the back straight, but no final decision has been made on that yet. Installing the seats is not cheap, and we will make a decision on them in the next week or so, but we'd like to sell out the first block first. A final note; the seats on sale at the moment are individual bucket seats, so if you want the peace of mind of a guaranteed reserved seat which you can rock up to whenever you like rather that taking your chances at the gate, these seats are the way to go.

Just remember not to put any more pre sales of seats on at 9am or during Shortland Street as graemeh won't get a fair crack at them.

Which block do you recommend haha? And how high up in the nose bleeds so when the turn one push comes I can see over everyone standing up on the bank.

Which block do you recommend haha? And how high up in the nose bleeds so when the turn one push comes I can see over everyone standing up on the bank. Installation of the seats started on Thursday, and the bulk of them are now in place. A few will be added after Cemetery Circuit on Boxing Day. The first photo below shows the view from Blocks C/D, which are where most of the remaining seats are. As of a few minutes ago, there were 140 seats remaining for Friday night and 100 for Saturday night, and now that the seats are in place and people can see what they're buying, I expect them to sell out quickly. They're not quite nosebleed territory, but are high enough that you'll get a clear view over the crowd on the hill. Food vans and toilets are immediately behind the seats. Here's the link to Eventfinda - www.eventfinda.co.nz/2020/elite-mechanical-new-zealand-superstock-championship/whanganui - if you struggle with the website, as one or two have, ring Eventfinda on 0800--BUY-TIX (0800-289-849), and they will sort you out. General Admission tickets can also be purchased online, which will save some time queueing at the gate. Once the remaining Premium Reserved seats are sold, that's it; it'll be General Admission only, and first in gets the best viewing spots

Tuesday morning update - 88 Premium Reserved left for Friday night, and only 8 for Saturday night. Yesterday was our biggest day of sales since the day ticket sales were launched, so it would seem that Santa is going to make some speedway fans happy ************************************************************************************************************************************************************ Further to Friday's update, there are 97 96 Premium Reserved seats left for Friday 3rd January, and just 32 24 for Saturday 4th January, finals night. I was asked today about a rumour doing the rounds that GA tickets have sold out, and can reassure potential spectators that is NOT correct. GA tickets in all categories (Children, Adults, Families and Gold Card) can still be purchased from Eventfinda, and will be on sale at the gate. We plan to have a separate entry lane for those with pre-purchased tickets. GA tickets will also be on sale at scrutineering at Wanganui Racecourse on Friday.

UPDATE:
Premium Reserved seating for Saturday 4th January is sold out. Only General Admission tickets remain for Finals Night.
There are just 68 58 52 49 Premium Reserved seats remaining for Friday 3rd January, and these are expected to sell out quickly. Log in to Eventfinda to purchase these remaining tickets.
There are still plenty of GA tickets available for both nights, although Eventfinda has had strong demand in the last few days. GA tickets can be purchased at Wanganui Racecourse next Friday from 10am during scrutineering, or at the track both days.

There's now less than 50 Premium Reserved seats left for Friday night. There are two in Block A, seven in Block C, and the remainder are in Block D. All these individual bucket seats are elevated, with a fantastic, panoramic view of the entire track. Once these are sold, only General Admission tickets will be available. These can be purchased online from Eventfinda, or by calling 0800-BUY-TIX (0800-289-849). From Friday 3rd January, tickets can be purchased at scrutineering at Wanganui Racecourse, and at the gates on both days. Seating in the General Admission areas (90% of Oceanview) is on a first-come-first-served basis. For those who have pre-purchased tickets in advance, there will be a separate entry lane at both gates. Here is the map of available Premium Reserved seats; the green seats are the sold ones

Premium reserved seating for Saturday is sold out, but that's less than 10% of Oceanview's capacity. General Admission tickets are available for both nights, contrary to what Dave Popplewell said, bless him!

Just 39 Premium Reserved seats left for Friday night now. If you want one, get in quick, because at the rate they've been selling in the last few days, they'll be sold out tomorrow. These are the remaining seats (in grey):
