Is there anything about tonight you liked Vatali or do you just moan a bit every now and then? If you try really hard and take a deep breath I dare you to come up with three positives about tonight's racing. your just a bit upset that only 3 out of the 30+ R cars have Qualified @tirito I'm going blind but I can only see 94r Dale Stewart and 118r Bryce Steiner on the qualifiers list, who's the 3rd one I've missed?

yes very very pain full when it's pretty much just being relayed from what could be displayed electronically to everyone if the track was to just simply allow Live Laps! By the time all the grids or points are read out for each heat the next race will have started drowning it out or the other commentator is almost pissing their pants wanting to interrupt with some info from down the pits. In this year for example they could just say if you want the grids they will be displayed on the big screen in 5mins so keep an eye or out or go on Facebook like everyone. I'm about as old and uncool as it gets and even I can manage that You guys are absolutely spot on. Grids are important but fill far too much airtime when there is much better info to be had.

Which is exactly why the grid should be done with the groups and already printed in the program. To try and do otherwise with more than 2 groups of just nuts

(I'm realistic these days) Glad for Malcolm the sole C!

I'm about as old and uncool as it gets and even I can manage that Let’s give you a heads up shall we. Rotorua Speedway have been battling ...and I mean battling for the last 2 years with their ELS system with unreliable information and issues cars not being registered when they cross the loop. Sonja has given us permission to plug into the ELS but we decided that we would see how things would go this weekend before we would put potentially wrong information on the screen. We are more than capable of getting the grids on the big screen. For us it’s very hard. The grids are drawn on the night and we just don’t get the time to sit in front of a computer and type tham all out... however, tonight you will see the grids on big screen for the main race. Give us some time to work all this out with our new overlay software and your wish will be our command.... it’s a thing called progression .... and progression takes time I do believe that what your saying is correct though so we will not be taking on them reading grids tonight .... we will continue with interviews and maybe a few tunes to break things up...cheers

The reading of the points was very good. Although they say timing is everything right..having a Interview while cars are running is not ideal. Couldn't hear a thing during asher rees interview after the parade lap. Quite disappointing considering the cause he is supporting, let alone just being able go hear what is being discussed. The parade lap was disjointed as well. Just too many cars. Maybe coming out in their groups could have been the go. But....overall a great show. The place looked amazing. Amped up for tonight.

I also agree the new rule doesnt help. Yes it keeps cars moving, as in he past you could have 1 car stopped at each end of the track. But if the 2nd place car slows down, then the 1st place car seems to do the same and they never catch up. So why wait if your in 2nd... ? Maybe the rule should be if your in 2nd place in a run off then you can stop...but not if your leading. Just a thought 🤣

tiroto yes I liked three things, the three R cars getting through haha Loved the night and looking forward to streaming again tonight. Sorry if I'm being picky but when we are talking one of the very best meetings of the year why not throw around everyone's ideas to see if the experience can be made even better for the fans. I just think the sport has done so well to come out of the dark ages with quality interviews, valuable information and analysis from presenters/commentators and big screens etc so with grids easily available on websites/social media I'm just not sure we need to read through all of them for classes with between 5-7 groups on the first night right before the first heat starts. If they do it an hour before racing starts no problem. The second night is fine for the championship as there is really only one group to do. Jase that was certainly no knock on your streams as that is one of the major reasons we've moved forward with the times. I still think a bit of music at the right time and the right selections lift the crowd like the feature song at the Springs. ramjam I love your idea of grids pre printed in the programme but obviously there is always the issue of late pull outs etc to complicate that. My posts weren't a knock on any club, streaming service or commentator or whatever, just throwing ideas out to try and make things better for those watching or find out if I'm way off and in the minority and everyone else loves all grids being read out. Great to see Malcolm Nagati get through after missing out a bit in recent years. Really looking forward to the repocharge. As mentioned by either Barry or Paul in the first race poor old Jordan Dare can't find any luck this year. Finally if we are moaning about grids it means the rest of the product was very good so well done to everyone involved with commentary, streaming and of course the club for running two of the best nights on the speedway calendar as it is ever year. Dam, that was more than three positives. I think I need to go and find my angry pills

Apologies Vatali - actually looking back I didn't read or interpret your constructive probably. You had a valid criticism. In hindsight I'd take a breath myself before reacting. .
