In my recent travels i found a Tri Rail [ Superstock ] complete with Ford V8 motor , zf Box and Speedway Engineering Quickchange Diff sitting in a farmers shed in Hawkes Bay . He said it belonged to a friend of his sons who had moved to Aussie . Car is in reasonably straight and tidy condition and motor still turns over. Apparently been sitting for roughly 8 years and they have no history of it.
Would anyone know of any tri rails that were build prior to 2010 and powered by a Ford V8 .

I think Farams cars are currently racing , one with Wade and the other with Elsworth. Cooper from Hawkes Bay had one but think it is currently racing too.
All a bit of a guessing game working out if this one is an original tri rail or a copy . It has no body or chassis tag , so hard to track the history of it . Then theres the posibility that it had another type of motor prior to the Ford being fitted. Will try get some pics next time im down that way.

Could be Joel Pitchers copy that started with a chev v8, before it sold down south to a former superstock driver that maybe raced it twice in 8 years, and put a ford v8 in it. Was a apparently built by Pitcher off T Mac plans. Was the car he hit mike Herbert in, and knocked himself and Mike out, and mike drove for a lap around the wall in the x Eddi Hawkins Kuriger while unconciiius and they couldn’t stop the car. That’s my pick anyway. Think last paint job had flames on black, and maybe some sort of skull or painted on image on it . *edit post - Found this here is a couple of joels car at the nz in auckland and the next pic is of bones zenders car that use to be one of joels cars above

I am wondering if its the tri rail that Darren gray built for a guy in Wellington running a Ford quadcam v8 in it. They seemed to have a few issues with it then it disappeared off the scene.

could it be the one that ran Pit Stop colours at Meannee? Think that’s now 112p Shaun Pearson. Was Birn in Greymouth, finished by Brent Larsen at Pitstop in HB then PN, now 112p

In that case it could be Ian Kings last car that I think was last owned by the guys formally running a street stock out of Levin I thinknit was? Apologies can’t remember the name, think used to build a few engines too
Think David Ashkettle or something like that had it before him. Sorry can’t
