From the Elite Mechanical New Zealand Superstock Championship Facebook page:
Just FIVE days to go until the Elite Mechanical New Zealand Superstock Championship, and it's time to hose down a rumour!
Contrary to what was announced at Robertson Holden Speedway last night, Saturday night is not a "complete sellout", and nor for that matter is Friday night. Here's how things stand at 8am, Sunday 29 December.
Premium Reserved seating: Whilst there are no more reserved seats available for Saturday night, there are still 49 seats available for Friday night. That number is dropping quickly, and those tickets are likely to sell out as well. But that's only a small portion of Oceanview's capacity.
General Admission tickets: More than 90% of Oceanview Speedway's seating is General Admission. This includes the start/finish straight (apart from an area reserved for crews), the embankment on the back straight, turns 3 and 4 at the town end, and the embankment at the airport end, in front of the Premium Reserved grandstand, including the concrete block terraced seats at the front. Seating in these areas is on a first-come-first-served basis.
Whilst some General Admission tickets have already been sold, we can reassure fans that there WILL be plenty of GA tickets available on both days. These can be purchased at the Racecourse on Friday morning during scrutineering, or at the gate. There will be a separate line for pre-purchased tickets at the entry to the speedway.
So don't listen to the rumours, or the people who thought they heard a friend of a friend say they thought they'd heard we were sold out! The Elite Mechanical New Zealand Superstock Championship is going to be an epic event, and we want as many people as possible to see it; that's FACT!!
