No problem with Friday. Rain will arrive in the evening on Saturday, but with a 4pm start it may be possible to get through before the rain arrives. Its marginal. Worst case would be rain starting an hour or two after meeting start time. Sunday will see the rain clearing early to mid afternoon, so a 4pm start could be possible if the track is in raceable condition. This morning's guidance has pushed the rain back a little on Saturday, increasing the chances that it wont arrive at Greymouth till mid to late evening. Its still marginal, but the odds are better than they were. The downside is that rain is slower to clear on Sunday, so with this current guidance Sunday afternoon/evening would be wet.

Thanks for taking the time to post TonyT! Your expert opinion is widely valued on here. Anyone have any insight into possible withdrawals from groups on first page? Hopefully not too many but bound to be a few of them

Latest guidance pushes the rain further back into Saturday evening, late evening. So as long as things run smoothly from a 4pm start it should all work out. Just. It will be in everyone's interest to get through the meeting as swiftly as possible. Sunday still looks wet till mid afternoon in the event that rain comes earlier than expected on Saturday evening.

Just a question....... What’s the deal with “no practise as per changed SNZ rule”. Does that only apply to Stockcars for a NZ title? (Wanganui ran practise for Supers last week).

Best of luck for your meeting Craig. You guys will be feeling as we were this time a week ago; a combination of nervous excitement and that sinking feeling in the stomach. Cover off everything you can, but you can't do anything about the weather, so there's no point worrying about it. Have a fantastic weekend.

It says both saturday and sunday are both rain so I'm guessing a decision will need to be made by wednesday as to weather it will go ahead or not. The weather forecast for the coast isn’t prarticularly predictable or accurate. For instance at the NZGP there 5 years ago there was rain forecast both days and the meeting was awesome. Will find some footage on you tube - you can see the rain in the hills behind but the track was unaffected. Just come on over for Friday and Saturday and you’ll have a great time And when the weather is like that, Greenstone Park offers up serious drive because the air is MOIST!!! Let that word sink in for a minute or two.....MOIST!!! Good Luck to everyone and no hospital trips!!!

Best of luck guys. I made the GP there a few years ago, but "circumstances" are keeping me a lot closer to home these days unfortunately. Should be a thriller.
