Live. Haha. Wakey wakey peeps. That draw did not happen today live in tv3. The show is More then likely pre recorded mid week or so to be ready to air today. Very clever to get the draw generated and on the screen with all its flash graphics in a matter of seconds after the “live” draw also. Yes yes with technology it could be done but come on. , was it?? Midweek draw gives them time to slot teams in and then set draw accordingly. A 5 race gap for some teams but potentially off set for “on paper” easier races. . The seeded teams were already listed in the draw and groups also. They were not shown as being drawn “live”. They were already present in the groups and then matched off for their individual races Hmm.

No matter what the draw is there will be upsets etc so lets just get on with it and you always dont have to go or watch if you are not happy with the draw aye.

Yeagh soon as I seen the graphics put up on the screen of the draws I thought really ?? Live Yeagh Right 😉 Its possible graphics could be added that quickly, but even if there was some pre-recording do you honestly think TV3 would have been party to the scripting of the draw/interview? Bruce just walked in and said "we've already done the draw but want you to pretend otherwise so we can con our spectators into believing its live and not rigged". Whats your view on the Moon landing?

A draw can be done live but not screened live.
I don't have a problem with that draw, in fact I quite like it lol.
Is be surprised if anyone can tell me it was rigged and keep a straight face.
If your one of those ppl want to make such a drama out of every little thing, here's a tip. A drama free life is far easier, try it sometime.

No where in my message do I say the draws rigged etc. I think it’s not a bad draw at all. Just pointing out a few things that hadn’t been considered by previous post.

Like the difference between the Lotto marbles and a tennis ball with a sqiggly S drawn on it in felt pen. Just sayin'

Suspect every team in group 1 would be reasonably happy with the draw given that it only has 1 of the tier 1 qualifiers from last year. What is the format for night 2 ? Does top points from group 1 race 2nd on points from group 2 and 2nd from group 1 race top on points from group 2 ?
Or does it come down to points , 1st vs 4th, 2nd vs 3rd.
Just trying to work out if there's any chance that teams from the same group can race each other on night 2.

Yip seems the Promotors have used the seeds to suit themselves. You'd expect last years 1st (Chch) and 4th (Panthers) placed teams on one side and the 2nd (Hawkeyes) and 3rd (Wildcats) on the other. Other sports would manage something so simple, not this promotion. You'd understand if the seeded teams were drawn at random 'live'. Not rigged at all. It doesn't suit them.. it suits Wellington. Wellington have a big gap now whereas Hawkes Bay get a smaller gap. And B have to race K. B and W should have been swapped but at the end of the day it definitely doesn't favour the Panthers as they only get a 5 race gap to repair cars. wellington won the world 240's thats why they get the 7 race gap. Just got of the phone to Bruce.
