I agree with Maininstand on my first two points:
• Forget consolation racing let’s make it a team’s event for the second night as well - sorry super saloons have to go! • Get rid of the fireworks - I'm just not sure how it enhances the racing apart from maybe annoying some neighbours who live close by.
Review alcohol related harm policies. I wasn’t at this year’s event but feedback from some who were: • “I’m not convinced that alcohol related harm is planned well. It is families that ultimately make a family friendly event and alcohol harm is one way to destroy that culture”,
• utilize “Best Practices for Alcohol Access & Service” & discuss and plan prevention strategies that help reduce alcohol-related harm.
I struggled at times with the commentary:
• Let the event “speak for itself” and not over-hype it.
My live stream worked well however good comments for improvement especially commentary and action not in syc. That was frustrating as!
Pray injured drivers a good recovery - they're amazing!

Insist the commentators read and understand the teams racing rules so they dont repetitively broadcast incorrect info to the crowd who understandably take their words as gospel. This and one certain commentor who really loves to play pole line referee needs to stop. Though I feel the commentary over the last few years has really been lacking almost feels like it's not exciting.

The parade is awesome how it is It gives the drivers ,pit crew ,families and sponcers a reward for the sacrifice they have too make for the show to happen Stu Russell, Mal Sines and myself have a few things planned for scrutineering at the square to make it feel more like a prelude to the big show. Dedicated interview segments for Legends time, Sponsors, Tech talk, Team Managers/Captains etc and also we will be running a wheel changing comp ( there will be head to head battles on 2 wheel frame setups ) where the overall winner of the day gets to go out on parade with the team of their choice. Bring your muscles and have a go.. Bring back the teams music to play during parade and after they win and are doing flag racing. You commentators are great. Not that I can hear at the top of the grandstand but the only teams music played was HB. Used to be awesome as they came out of the gate to each entrance music. Missing that

Being overseas and unable to attend my 1 wish and request is that the pits media take over or help with the streaming to give this epic meeting the online live feed it deserves. Yes i am in the same boat and agree 100% that the live stream needs attention asap so that all can be happy. Ok I've never watched a live feed from the PN track do I can't comment on whether they are good or bad but I watch the pits do the one from Rotorua and we only saw the lead cars. If commentators weren't telling us what was happening we wouldn't have known half the stuff and they aren't the pits staff they are track. To top it off just when they are giving us the points going into the final race so we know who to watch who could win the championship the pits go to a interview in the pits so we end up missing it. I don't get why people say they are good. We found it appalling. Just lucky for the commentators

Get some decent readable graphics for showing the places and points on the big screen. It’s hard to hear in the grandstand at the best of times let alone when 10 supers do their warm ups. In the age of flash visual effects it should not be that hard to produce something on the big screen easy to see from the other end of the stadium especially us old farts wearing eye-crutches

Cant say the same for videohub

Few ideas after watching this weekend.
Ditch the Burger King series, most in attendance and watching online are stockcar fans and don’t want to watch saloons race single file. Exciting super saloon racing died many years ago.
Have a 7th vs 8th race, so all teams that qualify for 2nd night get 2 races.
Don’t drop any superstock consolation races in favour of any other class, again this is a superstock meeting and most are here to watch them.
That annoying commentator on infield trying to be race referee at same time, he was at Rotorua too on that stream, gives out his judgement within seconds without even knowing the rules/penalties. Either educate or drop him 😎

I think you will find if you took the time to listen that the Rotorua commentator was telling you His judgement of what had happened in the race and His take on what the rule book states for said infringement, Where as the commentator at teams was relaying what he was told mostly, I didnt have a problem with him/them pointing out the attacking on the grass, pole line cutting etc

yes really enjoy watching them I’m not up on the surface for them apart from the rut thing And maybe padding on the corners Sidecars were a traditional support class at teams. Can anyone remember one year they ran a nz Sidecar teams champs on the same weekend I think about 8 tracks provided teams, including Rotorua. Saloons were also always on night two. For the first 20ish years it was always the Manawatu saloon champs, then it was modified champs for a couple of years, I think the sprintcars even had a turn at it as well. That didn't work so well TBH I think the current crop of sidecars that race week in week out at palmy would have turned that crowd, many of whom wouldn't see good sidecar racing regularly, on something awesome. I still remember me mate mudguard telling me getting cheered by the teams champs crowd was better for him than the first time he won the NZ sidecar champs
