And he's back in after palmy realise they made a stupid mistake They have said several times that the local ref (Ross Thurston) isn't even there. I don't know who the head steward is but I bet it's not the palmy local

Do we have a rule number that was used for the initial exclusion? Just curious to read it

Listening to clerk of the course on the stream he's pissed about SNZ going against their own rulebook even though he doesn't agree with the severity of the penalty

The steward gives out penalty for things like getting out of the car tho, not the ref. I'm assuming that is Mike Miller maybe?

Do we have a rule number that was used for the initial exclusion? Just curious to read it R12-4-47 Competitors in stationary vehicles must remain in their seat with belts on until they are permitted to get out by an Official. This does not apply in the case of fire.

I dont care who the driver is, rules are there for everyone's safety and should not be broken under any circumstances.

Sounds like a rock show alround. Pete is correct, in that there are no fixed penatlies in teams racing, unlike individual racing, and steward(s) applied a fixed penality - ie he erred in his application of the rules. Therefore the only common sense response was binning the whole lot. Which they did. Pete also said he had sort, and was granted permission to exit his car from the CoC.

As Pete said "there was confusion" indeed. no doubt there'll be some kind 'investigation' after the hotwash. "hopefully" the out come of that will be released so that everyone is in the know - even if its to the drivers/teams alone.
