Heard Bruce say on a podcast the other day that they will cap it to 5 or 6 teams as they don't have the $$$ to pay out for 8 9 or 10 teams in Auckland Umm ahhh Isnt that what a promoter does?, bankrolls events, He/She tries to make events bigger each time, they pay for advertising, actively drive customers to the turnstiles, then retrieve their financial input out of receipts from concessions, Live Streaming and ticket sales and hopefully make a profit for themselves. Two rules to remember 1/ It aint what you got, Its what you create! (better build something darned good to get fans thru the gate) 2/ You cant sell a secret (Once you have your formula, you better make sure the whole world knows about it) Ticket sales are the biggest contributor to the income. There is just not enough capacity at the ground in it's current state to accommodate a crowd the size needed to pay for the number of teams you would like. Many moons ago it was costing the club $80k for 8 teams so a minimum crowd I would estimate today at 4000. I could be totally wrong however and I guess Midway will correct me

I know in one season when the Hawkeyes went to Auckland and For the money you get to go to Auckland and the state of there wall that contributes towards damages when you hit it and also the damage that comes from teams racing, accomodation, travel cost etc the apperance fee didnt even cover half the cost.

Reading all the issues with seating and add parking lack off it , it makes driving up and supporting the event not that great bit off a shame really

Dont de-value the teams Nats, Its a great Meeting, being so far from NZ it needs greater attention to media coverage and a freindly disposition from the club towards all visitors.
