Michael Pickens: You don’t want to miss this one – my helmet is officially up for auction on TradeMe to raise money for some amazing animal charities. To say this helmet has seen some action is an understatement! THE GOOD Worn during: - My 9th NZ Midget Title win - 3 x International Midget Series Round wins, including the World 50 Lapper! - The John Day Classic Speedcar Win in Perth - The Sydney Speedcar 50 Lapper Win - The Andrew Edwards Memorial Win - Heritage Shield Win - Chili Bowl A-Main - All 3 Rolling Thunder Round wins in the Midget and Sprint Car - Plus many more! THE NOT SO GOOD - Worn during my infamous manhandling, leading to my 22 day SNZ ban - Worn during the crazy Stoops Pursuit BC39 Race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway where I ended up breaking my back going for the lead on the last corner! As you can see, this one is a total keeper! 100% of funds will go to charity, split between Paw Justice and the Steve Irwin Foundation to assist animals affected by the recent bush fires in Australia. Helmet can be signed upon request. Happy bidding! www.trademe.co.nz/…/motor-…/other/listing/2550169744

More about the NZ based charity Micheal Pickens is fundraising for can be found here: www.pawjustice.co.nz/My wifes dogs Bonnie and Isla were both rescue dogs from a puppie farm and came from Paws Animal Rescue. Bonnie only had 2 puppies so she wasn't making them any money so they wanted her killed, Isla had a litter which all died and she had an internal infection which they didn't want to pay the vet bill for so wanted her killed too. One day I'm going to do a surprise live stream interview with the owner of 70 dogs in cages and let them know what I think. They won't like it. Nice one MP.

Its a great charity and well worth a bid on ,and another of mine although it is more of a appeal is St John and the Rescue helicopter ,. Many just take it for granted that ring for a ambulance , and they are on the way ,and when in attendance they treat the person no matter who caused it drunk or otherwise . I think our sport needs to reconize there effort they give ,a lot better ,such as a meeting to show in appreciation the work load needed to insure you are in good hands of care .....
