Now that it has been proved legal, the best way to stop the engines winning is on the track, where it should be. I don't mind the protest system as it assures everybody is playing by the rules. I would like to see a bit of random testing as well, but understand that all costs dollars.
If Chad is leading club points etc, I am sure there would be a few more bums on seats if the Rees clan make a visit to Palmy any time soon.
RivalREES, and a fair playing field can only be good for the sport. At the end of the day this class has bumpers and seems to be thriving. Long may it continue, and there is nothing wrong with a bit of biff.
No big plans to travel too far at this stage but Easter in the valley could be worthy of the trip, shame the Peter Barry is on the same weekend, but that is another thread. Lol.

I can back craige up with this. The motors chad got will definitely be a weapon once develop. I think Mr Hartley has had the run of motors for to long and good on Chad starting up. If you do the mahi for someone else then why not do it for yourself, Jealousy is the biggest evil in our sport. for the record I have no animosity towards Chad I think it’s sweet good on them quite a coup it’s a competitive business to be in and in the long run good for competitors, but was commenting on how and why Pete and chad were all of a sudden at each other , people go for the jugular on the Rees family on here a little bit unwarranted IMHO love them or hate them they have brought a lot of entertainment and colour to the sport and in time will go down in history as some off the best .opinions are almost as bad as the people writing on the road ! have a bit off respect

Really? We get that you don't like Superstock racing but to call what is a golden age of Superstock racing a laugh says more about you than the class. I know I'm only young, Ok youngish, but I can't remember a time when Superstock racing has been better or more competitive than it is right now. If a competitor has the right to protest and that protest was handled appropriately then I don't see why anyone would have a problem. You can say it's frivolous if you like but it's the equivalent of beltway stuff in politics. The train spotters think it's a big deal but the other 98% Of ppl who pay their money at the gate and enjoy the great Superstock racing we have been treated to this season couldn't give two stuffs. Their interest stops once the pit gate has closed after the last race has finished. I was told last week that I miss a heap of off track stuff cause I'm not on Facebook, I don't think I miss it at all. These days my interest starts at the green flag and ends at the chequered one. Try it sometime, you might be surprised at how much more you enjoy it. So you have no idea what real stockcar racing is then... if you always look back to the past you never really get to enjoy what right in front of you.

I travelled down for the NZ Super Saloons last weekend. They were amazing. Superstocks were VERY average. 3/3 for 19c, and follow the leader, and be careful not to touch siderails. I'm not going to apologize, but that to me is as boring as bat droppings. Biggest meeting at The Glen this year and they couldnt even stir it up. I wasnt the only one to say that.

He lives in some fantasy world that never existed where Superstocks used to smash and bash at every race they started. Meanwhile those of us back on planet earth have seen some of the fastest, hardest and best Superstock racing in living memory this season.

You sounded extremely happy living in fantasy land before returning ,is your flight booked once again after the season has ended or are you waiting for your election results ...

It is quite amusing how engine rules, rule not only this class but every other in the sport ,and the protests that follow like a back yard mechanic that can tinker with his motor or his gearing and gets a advantage . Yes Sour grapes many times over would overflow the vat ,and to think he does not need the high input of technology is further icing on the cake . Many happy times are enjoyed by those who dont have the countless $$ but put on a show and take the chequered flag ..

A good outcome to the protest which confirmed that there is absolutely nothing wrong with Ace Performance engines, and further enhances Chads reputation as an engine builder. I don't have a list but I'll get one and make a poster or something of every Ace Performance powered car that raced in the 2019/20 season, it'll be a fun project. Hope nobody gets offended or jealous. I can't keep track but I think I spotted the Ace Performance logo on the rocker cover of Regan O'Briens 52b car and on the flying 46b car that Quin Ryan drove to win the final race and the 2020 ENZED Teams Champs title for Hawkes Bay. There's some weapons alright. Would be great to get pictures of the cars with original build from scratch/developed Chat Ace engines and not just off season freshen ups. Some were originally build by Hartley, guessing just like the 46b car?.. You could start an engine builder thread like the good old Pallmall threads.

yes this is what all the biff has been about since just before the NZ champs but there’s more to it apparently Chad got the vip tour at Nissan overseas and some how obtained the blueprint to the motor apparently Hartley found out a week later and was not a happy man and that was the trigger to the whole thing Hartley was trying to stop the upload off information but I heard it was to late m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=2029311933989054&id=1990907041162877FYI def nothing to do with Nissan or Hartley.. well done Chad for thinking outside the box and taking his own approach to engine development from a different angle
