As a spectator This is one thing that really winds me up. Wouldn’t you think that the officials would let the commentator know why a car has been taken off the track, or anything else that officials have deemed needing to be done. If they don’t wouldn’t you expect the commentator to have someone who can go over and ask why is the car been taken off? How many times have I sat n the crowd and seen a car taken to the infield by officials and no one has any idea why it has happened. (When I watch live rugby I plug one ear into the radio commentary so I know what is happening on the field and what the referee has decided) So officials and commentators need to realise that the paying public would like to know what’s happening. Agreed. And it's always interesting how different tracks handle that. I've been at one teams meeting where the SNZ head referee on the night went up to the commentary box before the meeting to offer information to the commentator on an contention issues over the weekend. The ref said "just send somebody over if there's anything you want to know". The commentator's response was "that won't work, you'll have to bring the information to me". So the crowd got nothing. So at some tracks, like Rotorua, you'll get every important decision basically as it's made, while other venues give the fans nothing. On teams racing especially, the fans need to know to understand what is gong on. Barry B Had a mate who was a referee in the deep dark south and I know how busy he got during the night, watching the races, checking results, talking to drivers, filling out paperwork, plus a million other things. With the commentators in another building he would have no time to go and talk to them. And I'm sure the commentators are just as busy. So I would suggest to clubs/promoters to get a person/volunteer to get information from referees and class reps as well. Yes one of my biggest annoyances at a track or live stream is hearing commentators talking about rules they know nothing about, saying "that driver will be getting a holiday for...." when the rules allow for that. E.g Palmerston Teams I heard the commentators say on two occasions that he hit a parked car that will be a holiday. Also when a driver doesn't come back out on the track when they have received a holiday and commentators dont have that information.

Best we could guess at the track was backing up to try & unbox himself at the start, couldn't have been anything else as he didn't even get to the first corner If anyone finds out, please post. My hunch is the shots on front car, but why? In a teams race, starts are when the flag drops, no need to cross the line. When everyone is just sitting there on the brakes not sure it’s a big deal someone ramming their way out?? Very harsh to red light it and take a car off!! I almost think it’s worth a rule change to at least make everyone move off the line. Not sure what it achieves sitting there. Talked to a couple of VERY experienced Teams Racers and they thought it was madness to purposely go a lap down.

The problem was reversing into the car behind, hitting someone when going the wrong direction.

so 1,3 or 11 (you pick)laps into a race, 3 cars go off the end, the middle car is partially parked on the 1st car, he backs off and hits the 3rd car and should be sent off for hitting a car in the wrong direction.is that what you're saying? is that what the rules say?

as this is a snz title it would be nice if the whole class from the winning club, sport a small nz flag with a gold cup on the right hand side corner,or1nz teams and a small flag under the main number, silver cup for second, bronze for third,or 2nz teams,3nz teams and flag.
