Very much reduced my attendance now. Pick and chose my meets. Used to go most weekends all over the Nth Island.
Sick of poor quality/numbers of support classes for major meets, as well as date clashes that contributed to the problem.
I understand all the awesome cars/classes can't be at a specific track to run as support to another glamour class, but I am sure we can do better than is being done now.
Too many promoters/clubs running their own agenda without consultation with other clubs.
With the exception of drivers, other than David BOP, and petrolfumes you don't see the same people at the big meets anymore. I used to walk into the tracks, and before getting my seat I saw many people that I caught up with at alot of the big meets.
I am sure each will have their own reasons, but speedway as a whole could do alot better. Diluted shows, late finishes, poor competitor numbers, too many tracks running same night/classes, poor track prep, live streaming etc etc

Probably not the best example to make your point. Huntly moving to Anzac weekend was a last minute thing to piggy-back Speedfest onto the Supercars at Hampton downs. Waikaraka would have reacted positively to that. actually in that case I'd say it's the best example to use in that case. Not only were no steps taken to avoid this clash, steps were taken to create the bloody thing. If that doesn't give us, as speedway fans runny poos, then I don't know what does. Huntly was helping out Auckland, they can't fit to many spectators into Wacky park remember.

ANZAC day and I doubt either will run, again not the point, Auckland and Huntly were both due to run. Both were scheduled to run Stockcars, Superstocks and Modifieds. Can anyone else see a problem here. Probably not the best example to make your point. Huntly moving to Anzac weekend was a last minute thing to piggy-back Speedfest onto the Supercars at Hampton downs. Waikaraka would have reacted positively to that. Incorrect, Speedfest which was originally scheduled for April 18th was shifted to April 4th to allow Kihikihi to run thier Final Meeting. However things had taken a change for the worst post Teams Champs when Gisborne and Baypark decided to run thier respective Superstock meetings on the same night, meaning this would affect the Superstock class at Huntly and not wanting to attract the competitors that would have certainly gone to race at Gisborne or Baypark instead. So it was decided to shift it to April 25th which incidentally aligned with the Supercars at Hampton Down. It was possibly the only viable option considering Waikaraka Parks King of the Park event also scheduled the same night is essentially a club night(I say with the utmost respect). Fortunately for Waikaraka they may get the last laugh as Huntly's 2019/2020 season is over after announcing it yesterday amongst this Covid 19 crises. At a fair guess, I'd say most tracks may follow suit with the uncertainty of this virus.
