I reckon you have have more chance of winning lotto 10 times in the next 4 weeks than you will have of getting any kind of refund

I think SNZ run on a pretty skinny budget We’re an amateur sport essentially, and our licence fees are a smidge if what’s invested. Surely this is bad joke?
If not, You shall from hear on be known as gorse pockets🙄
Not sure if you are going down this line, why you aren’t asking your local track for a refund?
Which is equally ridiculous.
It’s near the end of the season - if it’s a few bucks give something back to the sport for goodness sakes.
If you started racing in October and got through to start of March that’s a pretty good effort?

Anyone else wondering if snz will be offering license refunds to all the drivers who have paid for the full season ? have posted this question on their facebook page for a response Most clubs seem to run a "4 race" rule in regards to refunds. So have they had 4 meetings available to you? If so, no refund policy.

Speaking of funds and SNZ, is it time to give some thought to creating some sort of SNZ relief or bereavement fund for competitors where anybody could donate, or am I being too pessimistic ?

And speaking of funds, what ever became of the SNZ administrated injured drivers /riders fund that was running a year or two back?

If you want the sport to survive beyond our current predicament I would think the answer is no. It doesn't take a genius to work out this is a very stupid suggestion, just take a look at the reactions from the major main stream sports as rugby and the NRL etc.

Such a mathematical genius well done just pointing out that the idea of a refund for a licence for a season that is basically over is utterly moronic.

License runs to 31/8/2020 ??
SNZ release 19/3/2020 stating no permitted speedway activity for immediate future.
165 days remaining on licence or 45%.. $120 refund. SNZ goes insolvent. No speedway for foreseeable future. Well worth it.?

No speedway for foreseeable future. Well worth it.? SNZ is a incorporated society so not sure it can go insolvent as such, it could be wound up I guess. Anyway it isn't the only game in town. Potentially bigger issue for SNZ will be the likely drop off in competitors next season and resultant drop-off in competitor license income.

SNZ doesnt need to exist in the current crisis ,and if the sport does get up and running most tracks and clubs would be better off to value the competitor dollars as beyond doubt there will be a shortfall in competitors throughout the country . Rules could be implied on the same basis as the current rule book ,and administered by club officials Osh would still apply ...

Umm, Just because SNZ goes belly up (in your scenario), wouldn't mean "no speedway" for the foreseeable future...In fact if SNZ went belly up it might be a good thing...
