And today did I hear that we could be in Level Three for upwards of 12 months? That would be the entire next season over!

That still places next season in jeopardy. Restrictions on mass gatherings at Level Three...think that was 100 people and restrictions at Level Two...think that was 500 people. So at Level Two you could hold meetings but they would have to be minus spectators.

I haven,t read any new reports from Macgors top economist Sir Ramjam ,he must be behind closed doors feasting on Mr Changs un frozen fish burgers ,for any up dated reports on Covid - 19 ...

Anthony I saw one month in level 3 10 month's levels 2 an 1 Level 1 has a maxim gathering of 500, so for the season to start we need to get to 0. I think supersaloonfan might well be correct, no speedway next season and if they haven't sorted a vaccine the following season is also at risk. I hope this is on the agenda as item 1 at conference. The scary thing will be how many clubs fail due to no revenue, potentially some of the bigger clubs with permanent staff are more at risk.

As long as the border restrictions in place at the moment stay in effect and they continue to quarantine Kiwi arrivals how will this disease continue to spread in NZ? I hope we have one more week of Lockdown before going to Level 3.
There must come a time when new transmissions stop and given that the virus has a 4 week life-span, by the end of April we could see no new cases. This is obviously a best case scenario.
Where and from who can you expect to catch the virus from by the end of May? The statistics show new cases dropping daily.
Our biggest problem as a country is the economic recovery, but as far as being under any Level of emergency as long as our borders remain secure we could be a Covid-19 free country sooner than many seem to think.

Except it seems they haven't quiet got a handle on the virus yet. Some speculation of non symptom transmission combined with its hard to detect though the current testing methods. So I'm expecting a quick drop to drop to about 2 (so they can get business up and running again) with a long tail at that level. Personally I would not be surprised if I'm still working from home next Christmas.

Re Burger King Receivership. Don't panic fellow anorexia survivors. Im picking its a commercial tactic to minimize costs in readiness for the new owners to take it over once everyone's back to level 2.
lets face it who would want to take over a restaurant right now.
If anyone's keeping a book on what the call will be next Monday, I reckon one more week at level 4 to cover off ANZAC day, then level 3.International borders will stay closed until there is a vaccine or definitive treatment protocol that cures/contains it.

You may just find that a new owner could be found ,but it would take a while for the receivers to work through the red tape ,so the time allowance may fall in the new owners hand at the right time and at the right price .. For me i have never been a fan for junk food and are a great fan of Stanley Ruka,s Cheese & Ham with chutney rolls .They are simply primo

I imagine finding a buyer will be tough, as they'd been on the market with little interest, even before the virus hit.

Burger King has been an awesome sponsor to an awesome series. I always try to support sponsors products. Unfortunately the in store experience was worse than pretty poor. The burgers were good but the cleanliness was disgusting. Tokoroa was by far the worst chain fast food place I have seen even worse than KFC Waihi. BK NZ will be sold as a going concern lets hope they can make it as good as the Burger Kings in Hawaii they are amassing in both taste service and cleanliness.

It is a shame to see the impending demise of BK NZ. When large company's like them, 2,600 employees and media company's , print and audio either fall over, reduce staff and salaries and the list goes on how sound is our business structure. Brought up to save for a rainy day, most people and appears business's appear to treat every day as a rainy day and live on reserves and borrowed money and a slight hiccup sends them to the wall. BK to me will be remembered for their dedication to the super saloon class and making it the premier class it is now. Hope the class doesn't follow the route of it's sponsor. tv3 showing a RD of BK series this Sun, be hard for the ex 2,600 employees to watch. Perhaps we will going back to making our own fresh sandwiches , and taking a thermos to events and travel as the spare dollar will be scarce . We may need to sit behind Midways wicker basket and when he distracted when Mr Skinny goes by, help ourselves to his ham and cheese and chutney rolls and leave a marmite sandwich as payment.

It may be correct that the company that runs BK NZ has gone bust, but without that company or a replacement there in no BK NZ. No matter how you sugar coat it, they are the only one's licensed in NZ to operate under the BK Logo and agreements so their demise until they can sell that agreement must mean the interim demise of BK in NZ. If you look at the Level 3 announcement, the fast food chains listed to operate, only drive thru or uber eats or doordash are McDonalds, KFC and Domino's.
