It is something this sport could really capitalize on after this pandemic Careful planning and consideration into such events is needed ,but is rarely seen these days ,like a meeting for a special charity ,etc The average punter that does a attend ,there pockets will be beyond doubt mostly affected ..

Hopefully a meeting with a difference, rather than the current format and classes. Start with a plan, promotion and driver invitees to make it a memorable meeting to mark 20 years. This could start soon by a team that are keen to work through the off season spreading the word. Get a date sorted early and promote the bajeesus out of it. A two night meeting
Pick the classes and format early, register driver interest. Full fields a must. Pre match entertainment 30 sprinters - split into 3 heats of ten with 2 heats on track at same time 50 super saloons - NZ champs format. 64 stock cars - 16 teams of 4. 30 cars on the track at once. 4 car teams will allow for more blockers to assist runners as the event goes along. 30 saloons - 6 teams of 5 from different tracks or teams picked out of the hat. 30 streetstock for something different all in one night only 30 mini stocks - three heats plus best pairs. One night only. Crackers or derby to finish
Thats nothing too left field. I am sure with more than the 10mins it took for me to through this together, some clever people could come up with a meeting format with a difference. Perhaps people can list some of their ideas below to give the promoter some ideas . (not that he spends alot of time on hear I expect).
I would have liked to have some sort of contact teams racing but not sure BP is the right track for it. Perhaps a one off Busters vs Gizzy Giants race Also would't mind 30 super saloons if we could get 15 from the South Island up for a Nth Vs Sth challenge.
Sorry bout hi-jacking the thread Mr Slideways, was getting a little excited. If you aren't happy I can move to another thread.
I would really like to see something really great to mark the 20 years.

No problem at all sonic33 - there is a legitimate technique called brainstorming where all ideas are put up (has been traditionally on a white board in an office). For example, @zitadel baffles me sometimes but one thing he has contributed was "You can't sell a secret." nice.

Im very pleased Sliders, that the term has struck a chord with you. Its not mine, I didnt create it, its just part of many many sales training lectures and courses I attended thru a couple of decades in commission sales.

Rates will rise at least 15% per annum to cover it ,,most pensioners wont be able to afford the gate prices ,and a famous peppery pie .,but one consolation is the best races have been and gone and Roto vegas will be the place to be 240s yeah But good luck ,i hope the roof doesnt blow sheets of iron off like it did watching teams one friday night back in the real days ..
